David Moyes
Re: David Moyes
Concerning thing for me is I can’t think of anyone who could do better with this squad. Not that I think Moyes will be doing much with it either.
Genuinely thought we’d have about 4 signings in by now including the apparently unimportant RB, not including George or Rohl who barely played anyway.
If we’re as skint as we seem to be, we’re fucked

Re: David Moyes
I struggle to think who could do a worse job. Imagine how soul destroying it must be going in everyday to practice nothing but defending, just positional play, how to stop the opposition hurting us. I bet there is fuck all about patterns of play or how we develop, it'll all be about stopping them and set plays. He's the most uninspiring manager in the league by a mileNickNack wrote: ↑Tue Jul 28, 2026 8:59 pm Concerning thing for me is I can’t think of anyone who could do better with this squad. Re: David Moyes
I think you are right and it is destroying our club. Its a huge gamble going for a progressive manager with a pattern of playing and intent to attack with a squad as bad as this is. And such a change needs to be done in early june, not now or in the middle of the season.NickNack wrote: ↑Tue Jul 28, 2026 8:59 pm Concerning thing for me is I can’t think of anyone who could do better with this squad. Re: David Moyes
Are they?
I think Frank’s a bit more clever as long as he’s not got a locker room full of dickheads. Pragmatic but with some legitimate ideas about how to beat the big sides.
I think he’d be a nice half-measure as we transition out of Moyes.

Yeah, I’m not quite convinced to roll the manager roulette just yet, but mostly because of the worry of getting something worse.Shogun wrote: ↑Tue Jul 28, 2026 8:32 pm Pre-season Moyes Out shout incoming!
I really feel like he's the wrong fit for this upcoming season. I think even though we were in contention for Europe last season there were issues with how we were playing, players out of position, players just not being played and the home form being pretty awful.
We're possibly going into next season without Ndiaye and Grealish. Dibling and George are there whilst I'm sure the transfer committee would bring in another younger player based on what they've done so far but have we seen anything from Moyes to suggest he can quickly develop these players and trust them to step up to the plate? The defence looks pretty rough all round and do we want a manager that will play Mykolenko every minute or do we want a manager that's going to develop the likes of Aznou? Who knows how much he is a reason for the current RB situation as well if rumours are believed he is blocking certain players coming in.
I think he did a really good job when he come in and in the end last season could have been great but it was just okay. The direction the club seems to be going in with the players we are signing then I don't see why you want or think David Moyes was the man to lead that on the pitch. I don't see what the point of keeping him here for 12 months is just to finish 13th, not develop players and not win a trophy.
I do think he's a good manager but the vibes are terrible at the moment and he's a big part of that. I felt like we were in for a season of midtable boredom but I think there's a chance we might slip into a relegation battle how it feels right now.
But I’m not far behind you - the thought of next season with no right-back and Dibling watching McNeil from the bench gives me the fear.

If we start out like a new born giraffe I think he'll be gone by Christmas. Who next? Not a fuckin clue, as long as its not Potter and definitely not brown shoes

Re: David Moyes
Thomas Frank would be a good shout, the players at Spurs didn’t help his position from day one, but I’m tempted with Carsley, and he’ll know our young English lads very well.
Re: David Moyes
According to the Athletic, Howe is leaving Newcastle with Matthias Jaissle poised to replace him.
Everton, do the right thing, sack Moyes with immediate effect and get Howe in. Evertonian - plays much better football and trusts youth

Re: David Moyes
Came here to post the same. Would love to see it but I’m not too hopeful.
Be cool or be cast out.
Re: David Moyes
I'm not a fan of Howe and poor @Gash and his health would not cope with the 3 goals conceded so often
