You think Newcastle will be better after losing Gordon, Tonali, and soon Guimares and Joelinton, as well as their manager... and replacing them all with a bunch of untested kids and a manager who's never managed a better league than the Austrian premier league?
They still have the core of a very good team plus have signed 2 very good young players we will be starting the season with Jake and myko as full backs and no replacement for gana as well as no grealish how can we expect to do better than last season

Spurs and Chelsea you can forget about as we can't get near their spending power and Newcastle are in a mess at the moment, they've lost their best players and their manager and look like bringing in a manager from the Saudi league. The other three isn't really a big shock at clubs buying players in a transfer window.
We have signed three players by the way, I know people don't want to count two of them because they were loans but they're all good young, prospects.
We have a quality goalkeeper. 2 good young centre backs and 2 decent back up centre backs. We have an abundance of CMs.
Winger situation definitely depends on Grealish and Ndiaye situations and Dibling development.
Strikers are a bit shit but ok numbers.
Genuinely think keep Ndiaye. Get Grealish back. Get 2 full backs and an experienced striker.
Surely we can manage that? A cheap older striker 2 loans leaves one more purchase?

I don’t buy that.
We have Armstrong, Hackney and Tim who all show promising signs of upping their game to PL standard. Garner and KDH who already are.
We’ll miss Gueye I admit but I still think Grealish, 2 full backs and (not as much) a striker take the priority

This link below is just for a bit of context and won't calm down those of a nervous disposition but very few teams have made any big moves in the transfer market so far and even a lot of those who have are loans, frees or relatively small fees. Every year the majority of moves happen later and later in the window, we're not really that much different to most other clubs, we just don't have any patience anymore. There's positions we need but bleating on every five minutes that we need a right back etc isn't going to solve anything and probably just gets your blood pressure up.
Would make sense to have an Ndaiye replacement lined up should he leave, but could easily just be lazy journos knowing that and recycling a previous season's link.
