Super impressed with how much he’s come on because I never thought he’d be playable at this level given where he started. Still, I have limited interest in someone who isn’t good positionally or passing the ball regardless of how good they are at other things.

If I’m a newly promoted side looking for a run everywhere and tackle everything number 8, I am 100% buying in on him. He should continue to get better.

For us, that type of midfielder either nerfs our attack paired with Garner or Norgaard or leaves us too open defensively paired with Hackney.

I like a lot of what he brings but I’ll take the cash and outsource the development to someone else.

I still think he's got potential to be a high quality player, but he can't play the 6, and we have Rohl, Armstrong and Hackney who all play the other role, and it's hard to justify keeping Tim and playing him ahead of them.

He's an absolute elite ball winner, but he needs a lot of games and patience to improve the other areas, especially positional discipline, which I don't think we can really afford to offer him.

Shame but he's probably the one out of our midfield options, alongside Alcaraz that we can move on without really any negatives.

Number wise I don't think it's far off, we probably need 3 as back up for injures and suspensions. They're all young, and coming to a new country for Rohl, but I don't think any of them grasped the opportunity last year which is why they all got a bit part.
I'm optimistic that Rohl will be best of those 3 options, technically looks good, good engine and great pace. I'm a bit of a broken record but the only real negative is Moyes will probably go for a more senior player to replace Tim, if he goes, and will that lessen the chances of the 2 remainder younger ones?

I think we leave ourselves exposed if both Tim and Alcaraz go.

We then have 6 players for 3 positions and injuries and suspensions eat away at that across a whole season.

If they weren't both entering their final year I'd keep Tim but needs must if we want to be smart in terms of squad rotation.

Should be looking at a decent wedge for Tim in terms of value. Not sure on the point in a loan at this stage.

I really like him but if you want to evolve as a club, difficult decisions need to be made. You can keep him and hope he improves, or you end up standing still.

I am not sure he will ever be able to eliminate the majority of mistakes in his game the same way that Garner has. So if we can sell at a tidy sum, it’s probably time to move on.

Hes like a young Doucoure imo, runs lots, impresses the fans with a big slidey, struggles to pass water and is out of position all the time.

I dont think you can overcome some of these things and its probably a reflection that these are the quality of team that are interested in him. Anything over 15m we've done well
