It is a big amount to pay.

And the price for Wan-Bissaka is even worse. We sold Digne for that amount and same age, he's twice the player so we should avoid at that price.

You simply can’t compare current prices with previous years, they’ve gone truly mental.

Digne at twenty nine would go for fifty million in this market.

Had a google notification about Hector Fort from Barcelona in the €10 million region. Currently third choice at Barca, onlý 20 years of age. Could be Munoz for now with Fort as understudy.

I doubt Fort would come here just to sit on our bench instead, he wants playing time surely.

I’d probably prefer taking a chance on a player like this though because we do have JOB, Garner, Rohl who can be a makeshift if it doesn’t work out. Buying Munoz at 30 for 20 mil or whatever feels like we’d be kicking the can down the road by a season or two at best.

A 6ft 1 ex-Barca player who can play LB and RB with good technical ability for around 15 mil is a decent price. We’re not likely ready yet to win a trophy so we should be looking to give playing time to players like this so both parties can develop.

While good in theory, and certainly agree we should be slowly building- the problem is that we've quite a few untested kids now, and a few tested experienced regulars on the wane. None are really in peak years except Garner, Pickford and KDH - and our two upcoming CBs that have hardly played CB together.

Fort's performances for Elche really havent been that impressive from what I’ve seen. Hes technically ok, but quite poor defensively and doesnt hold the ball well or make good decisions often. Not sure even a 3rd choice Barcelona full back is worth the risk of throwing 10m at, there might be a reasons he's 3rd choice in this case.

Munoz might be the instant improvement we just need to buy in this case (in place of Grealish). If he's available, we need to get him.

Everton boss David Moyes is set to make a decision on a deal for right back Daniel Munoz. Terms not considered a problem. The fee would be just around £20 million. Moyes just has to commit to the Colombian he may not fit snugly into his way of playing.
