Didn’t realise Palace are imploding…

Sarr wants to join Galatasaray

Mateta has taken them to court to try and get his contract extension voided

Wharton wanted by City

Might be selling Munoz

They might even manage to get relegated

Got let off with that today.

Pickford and KDH turning up when needed but that could have easily gone the other way.

Nice to get the win but can’t say I’m that enthused about what’s to come.

Midfield easy to play through, defensively very poor.

Yep, result definitely glossing over the performance. It wasn't great and if Palace has taken the lead, like they probably deserved, then the outcome may have been different.
There were some encouraging elements, but still lots of room for improvement

Midfield should be a simple fix with one of Garner or Norgaard coming in.

Defensive line is the big worry. Tarkowski gets worse every year, Röhl is still learning his position. Harder fix to drop your club captain and sign an actual right back. Still doable though.

Thought we were pretty good tbh, especially in the second half. I don't think Palace are generally up to much though.

Once Garner is fully fit Hackney is out. Once Norgaard is fit Armstrong is out. We will be more solid but way less potent. Back to normal. Win some, lose lots, draw even more.
Play garner right back, let Hackney play with Norgaard and KDH. Alternatively sign a right back and play one of Garner or Norgaard as the six. Ndiaye is the out ball and Barry has proven he can be a figure head that can hold it up. Moyes just needs to be a bit less conservative. And there in lies the problem.

Saw this at the start of last season didn't we? Picked up some decent results despite spending large portions of games looking below average in lots of positions and periods.

Fair play though, pretty much everybody had a decent second half.

Interesting to see a couple of posts about us not playing well, I thought we were very good today. I did miss the first 15 minutes like, but thiught we grew into the game and pushed on to dominate.

The stats dont shout snatching a win against play either.

That first half involved them missing an open goal, hitting the post and having Pickford pull off a blinder. The first half an hour we looked at odds and ends - but they were no great shakes. Still felt it needed a bit of luck for us to make the break through.

Second half, Palace offered next to nothing like. It's not that we played bad, but our lines were *very* easy to get past.

Think we're all broadly in agreement though: our attacking options are good. We don't particularly have ingrained patterns of play and so we will throw away lots of points and our defence and it's screen look paper thin.

They had three really good chances before our goal like.

Was a game that could have gone either way.

I don’t think we were dominant at all and that will most likely be one of our easiest games this season.

Got the win so who’s arsed but no real great signs for me.
