As I said I few weeks ago, they'll score plenty and concede plenty. You can't have Gravenberch and Szoboszlai as your two deeper midfielders and expect to be water tight defensively.

Any team starting with Barkley and Lindelof, and no actual striker, in 2026 is asking for a pummelingtoffee_scot wrote: ↑Sun Aug 23, 2026 3:29 pm Quite unsettling actually what’s going on at Villa, they’ve sold Tielemans, Rogers, Digne, Konsa while Martinez and Watkins are supposed to be moving on with the latter going to Saudi. That’s so many key players leaving despite finishing 4th last season.
Some of the players they’ve bought I don’t really know too well like Manzambi, Joao Gomes, Suzuki, Ruggeri but they have AWB and Garnacho on loan.

Based on week 1, unless Alonso and Chelsea are suddenly at it Arsenal must be excited about how the expected competition look this season.

And we’ve got all that to look forward to, if we ever get good again.
