Yes, I understand the charges are to do with a rolling 3-year period, but surely if we have been penalised for years ABC in 23/24, then we should next be penalised for years BCD in 24/25, and so on. No?
If they are going to use the rest of the football league as a yard stick for point punishments, you'd think they'd do the same when it came to the whole double-jeopardy thing with regards to the second charge.

I got my hopes up when i saw that double-jeopardy thing.

But looking at the ruling - it doesnt say they are adopting football league regulations, it says that the points are more in line with football leagues (in a "this is the only comparable situation for how to decide how many points").

Best case scenario is a fine.
Most likely is 4-5 points if our losses have improved.
Worst case is 6 and Forest have their mitigation approved.

Does anybody know a)what our loss is for the period in question and b) what is Forrest loss, surely this should tell us something ?

Forest fans in general are saying they are 15m over

But they have changed their tune from originally saying they was 60m over when they was first charged

Lots of them have maintained they will only get 3 points the whole time even when ours was 10,

They think we will get 8 points for the 2nd charge

They are a special breed
They remind me alot of that lot from over the park

Take it this year. See the back of Forest or Luton and then aim for a 40+ point season next year with no deductions
Assuming we get enough points to absorb another punishment. Imagine getting relegated by the cut instead of losing games?

Cozzie wrote: Mon Feb 26, 2024 1:32 pm I was thinking along the lines that now they have reduced ours to 6 then 6 will be the precedent going forward for breaches.

Forest case is a little different to ours as one of those 3 years was spent in the championship and 2 in the PL, so different guidelines.

But you're right, I don't know the full depth of Forest case so it could be worse.
I believe it will be the precedent for better or for worse. Some talking heads seem to suggest that with the wording of the decision they hope it will absolve us of a penalty for our second charge based on double jeopardy. I expect we will still get penalized, but hopefully diminished. Since ours didn’t confer a sporting advantage and Forest’s will I wouldn’t be shocked to see them get 6-8.

This commission seems to think nothing should really go beyond 9 points. Think it likely means in the future that most deductions will be capped at 8 points

It will probably benefit us that it's happening like this but it highlights their incompetence.
Definitely incompetent but we are beneficiaries of them not getting their house in order. If we had any penalty last season we would have been cooked.

A lot of Forest fans are genuinely arguing that the Prem is trying to save clubs like Everton, because they have a new stadium on the way and have been ever present, whereas they are trying to make an example of poor little Forest.

They also tend to sprinkle a lot of nasty stereotypes about Liverpool and people from Liverpool in with it.

In the entire time this has been an issue, I can't recall one Everton fan saying anything remotely unpleasant about anyone from Nottingham.

18 points to play for.

Put a good chunk of points on the board between now and then and hopefully we won't have to worry about the deduction, providing forest get whacked as well.
We’d do well to get 6 points from them 18

Shogun wrote: Mon Feb 26, 2024 4:25 pm It'll be interesting to see whether we fight the second charge.

What's clear from the first charge is that, as BD said earlier, we naively went into it thinking that cooperation would be enough. That basically hamstrung us for this appeal because we could only argue fairness rather than guilt.

If we keep Rabinowitz for the second charge then I wouldn't be surprised if we win the case.
We are not going to be able to revert now and argue guilt. That die has been cast. Doubt we win, unless on the double jeopardy point.

They're kinda exploiting the fact that there are no nasty stereotypes of Nottingham, as no-one cared enough about them since that sheriff incident.

I remember back in the day singing in school "we hate Nottingham forest, we hate Liverpool too, we hate all the others, but everton we love you"
