Thelwell talking strategy
Re: Thelwell talking strategy
Slightly sad about Gomes leaving.
He’s had some memorable moments for us, also admittedly some horror shows. Given his wages it’s right that he’s off though.
We sure do need someone with his skill set (and more) in the midfield though for next year.

Re: Thelwell talking strategy
Us actually scoring a free kick this season was one.
Carlo got him crossing in from the left a few good times too. Before Son he was fairly decent, but sadly never consistent.
Plagued with injuries though. Shame really.
Think we saw this season that he had more skill in him than most of our squad, sadly that’s also shining a light on the decline of our squad quality in general.
Re: Thelwell talking strategy
Dunno where this idea comes from that he was good before son injured him tbh. He's the exact same player, just seems to play less and have a worse rep.
Re: Thelwell talking strategy
I think id rather just take the risk and give Dobbin Harrisons minutes.
I think our main priority this summer is a winger anyway and it shouldn't be Harrison.

Re: Thelwell talking strategy
He's obviously got an extremely hard job but I think largely he's been a bit shit too. Spent about 50m on strikers who aren't ready to/might never be ready to play premier league football
Not really arsed for hearing from any of them. Not him,not the players, not the owners, not the potential owners, not the manager. They are all a source of endless fucking disappointment

Maybe listening to it might give you a better insight into his decisions and how difficult his job is. I know how difficult it is. Be easier if we hadn't bought a beto, or an Ali, or a maupay or just bought a right back
It can be both a really hard job and him be underperforming

I think he's got off lightly considering his performance since he got here.
