Don't remember Usmanov's involvement being mentioned initially at all but could easily be (and probably am) wrong about that. Would like some links to such when Moshiri took over in 2016 if that's the case?
Also Usmanov's involvement in the club was never official, so it's difficult to get riled up and protest something that is going on behind the scenes and can be easily denied. Not that I disagree about the Saudi consortium stuff being overblown at this point.
It was 100% known, moshiri and usmanov were involved together at arsenal, their connection didn't get discovered at Everton.
I don't have any links to hand but the thought a prospective buyer of Everton whose close and publicly links to a russian billionaire are not immediately pored over, extracted on, extrapolated on, exaggerated and feverishly dreamed of on, by us, an obsessive and slightly mad, not to mention cash starved, fanbase seems a bit naive.
Saudis are sports washing all over the shop, and own large parts of many many international companies. I don't think we could really be too upset if a Saudi Prince bought us let alone invested... Almost everything we use these days is part owned it seems by the Saudis.
I'm not saying I'd welcome something like what Newcastle have with open arms, I'd hate it truth be told, but I'd also begrudgingly accept it because there's absolutely nothing any of us could do about it.

Think I want the roma guy. Seems like he's done a good job with roma. No real clue though but it does feel like an exciting time again. Feels like maybe we have started going in the right direction
We can't know the real substance of all of these bids, and how much of their pitches is bullshit, but purely on face value for what has been said in the media so far my preference is the Manoukian bid.
It's full equity, so no additional debt, they seem to have a variety of sources for finance/business expertise and seems that they want to bring a data-driven, analytical approach to us (long overdue).

The fact that he hired Mourinho seems like a big red flag to me - modern day Mourinho is not the coach you hire to improve a football club
