To have a partnership like these two had back in the day.
Everyone he played with up front he seemed to work great with.
He’s underrated in a lot of ways. A genuinely fantastic footballer.

Yeah, Jeffers looked like a potential world-beater when partnering Kev

This is really sad to hear. He stamped his name in our club with his season saving efforts. Forever grateful Super Kev ... RIP

Only just heard the news. So, so sad. A true Everton icon who gave me so much pleasure both as a player and after he left. He made you proud to be an Evertonian and was proof that once Everton touched you…
RIP

Gutted to hear this. Too young. Feel for his family at this time. Hopefully the club do something for them.

Legend. Loved watching him and Wright long before he came and saved us. Hope there’s some good tributes on the games today. What a guy.

Friend and former teammate Ian Wright added a tribute on social media with pictures of their time together on the pitch: “Till we meet again my friend. I love you so much.”

Lovely man. Completely embarrassed myself when I met him in a club in Nottingham. He bore the drunken bore with the utmost class and grace.
I’ll stick to my memories of him on the pitch, thanks. Lovely fella, lovely player. What a loss.
