IF he is actually happy here, and we've treated him with respect in terms of all the stuff we know we've he's been dealing with on top of the injuries I suppose there might be a decent chance he'd want to sign for us as a free agent rather than roll the dice again with another club.

Who knows though, hoping for good things for him even if it's elsewhere, but I've no idea what sort of player is there now.

Ideally we arrange something with Spurs and we get to use him for the second half of the campaign and both parties can assess if it's working for them and it's worth signing an extension. You'd also imagine Dyche must have seen a fair amount of him on the training pitch by now you'd think to at least have some sense about his current ability, his personality, and what he might bring.

As much as I would love him to find form here, we have to remember that on top of all the stuff he's gone through, he's also not kicked a ball in competitive anger for a long time.

He'll be a million miles away from any sort of match fitness and sharpness so we need to find a solution to that issue too... Obviously if we can re-negotiate the deal we could hopefully play him off the bench to build up, but can't help feeling the road back to being a functional premier league player is a long one.

He has to want to do it, he does not have much time left. Listening to him in a interview earlier last month I think he wants it

I'll be surprised if he plays for us again. Dyche very quick to say he's a long way off in his press conferences. I imagine that's code for "unless we sort a deal with Spurs out then he won't be playing"

So apparently in the commission hearing Everton blamed spurs for "depreciating" our value of richarlison and hence we were £20 million short on our P&S target. ABSURD!!! the commission stated.
However, because of the mud slinging by everton the DELE deal now looks in jeopardy and very unlikey to happen.

WHO THE FUCK WAS REPRESENTING US AT THIS HEARING? - I DIDN'T KNOW MR.BEAN WAS A BLUE !!

Not sure why spurs would care at all. All we've said is our position was weakened because people knew our situation.

The craziness of it all is that richarlison has been a spectacular flop at 60m. Claiming we should of got 80 just seems daft

Sounds like an excuse to be honest. Not sure they ever wanted to renegotiate.

We'll see though, that might just be media nonsense. It really isn't in either parties interests to maintain the status quo as Spurs won't get any more for him come the summer.

I haven't read that part, but I thought they were blaming COVID for the depreciation not Spurs as they couldn't sell him when they wanted to for maximum value. The rules set up by the PL itself pushing us to sell were the other biggest factor you'd imagine.

I read that it was a case of Bill being confident that we would get £80 million for Richy which would balance the books but Levy refused to budge From £60 which is probably what happened, don’t see what Levy did wrong nor have I seen any mud slinging against Spurs, why would there be ?

Re: Dele

Some of our arguments don’t cut it unfortunately.

Richy was never worth £80m and he’s proved himself to be quite limited at a higher level.

I doubt we would have got any sort of fee for Sigurdsson and the fact we didn’t have to pay him probably worked in our favour.

Covid impacted everyone.

The USM sponsorship was unfortunate but that’s a whole can a worms we probably want to keep out of the courts.

That’s not saying this punishment is in any way justified though.

Re: Dele

Wasn't the Sigurdsson situation that we were forced not to play him by the Premier League? Considering what's transpired since in him no longer being charged then surely there's an argument that the guy we bought for £50m could have been sold to cover the £19.5m if that hadn't happened?

Re: Dele

Don’t recall anything about the Prem saying we couldn’t play him ? Remember him and his family going into hiding after the allegations were made. Think the strongest argument we have with Sigurdson is that we continued to pay him out of concern for his mental health, Everton that is.
