Would be a shame to lose him, but if we recruit well if he does go then so be it.

Would like to think we could turn his head with a new contract.

Probably an easy assumption but DCL goes to Newcastle and we go after Tammy Abraham.

I think if he did leave then Thelwell would need to pull a rabbit out of a hat in replacing him. With a year left on his contract I can’t see us getting a big enough fee to just go out and spend it on someone who’s as good. Maybe talent wise we could get somebody better but not a player who’s ready to go in the prem. he should sign a new contract anyway after all we’ve done for him

He'll always split opinion but he's got 57 goals and 15 assists for us in 8 years, had 18 good months around Covid but he's been injury prone and woefully out of form since 2021 other than a purple patch towards the end of last season. I know that's always someone else's fault but if he's not going to sign a contract with us and we can get a fee for him now then we need to sell him.

If he does go, would his sale be good for PSR as we paid a small fee for him in the first place or am reading too much into it?

DCL is elite level at certain aspects of his game, and those aspects are the ones that suit a Dyche game perfectly.

It's not so much we couldn't get a decent replacement with the money, I for one would love some random African or Scandinavian bags man, but more could we get someone who actually suits Dyche's tactics so well?

When you're a functional team relying on all the aspects to work together to be effective it's dangerous replacing someone who's skillset is so perfectly suited to the system.

Wouldn't want him to go in an ideal world, but I think if he's not gonna sign, you've gotta get what you can for him.

And I don't begrudge him going in the slightest. He doesn't owe us anything. Would wish him well, and hope that we reinvest well.

I know you have to back yourself but he’s never starting ahead of Isak

Possible that Isak might be on the move - Arsenal were alleged to be interested in him.

Yeah we'll have paid off his fee (£1.5m?) long ago. So any sale is listed as pure profit.

I think bailing is now for a low fee would be a snake move tbh

What do you reckon we could get for him, £20/30 million ?

No idea really, but probably the same amount we'd pay for their winger. I think that was quoted at €30m?
