Could also be that his management/agent see a brighter future for him and don’t want him tied down for longer, I would have thought that given our still fragile financial situation we would have been keen to amortise his fee over a longer period ?

He won’t play here I bet just moving these guys around to beat psr kinda wrong for the players involved
Re: Tim Iroegbunam
I don’t really understand all this PSR talk, how does it work if say We sold Dobbin for £20million and bought Timmy for £20 million, how does that help us or Villa ?
Re: Tim Iroegbunam
In terms of actual cash flow - it doesn't.
But this year's revenue (ending at the end of the month) is inflated by £10m for us both whilst our outgoings are only increased by £3.33 million due to the way you spread purchases over the length of a contract.
So both us and Villa have spent zero pounds but created a £6.66m PSR uplift.
It won't last forever, as we're also down by £3.33m for the next 2 years as well - but the rules are expected to change by then to a wage-based system
Re: Tim Iroegbunam
We buying this lad for £10m.
Villa can put it on their books as £10m profit. We won’t really be paying £10m it’ll be all spread out.

Re: Tim Iroegbunam
Selling gives you the 20m straight away in terms of PSR and buying is a percentage each year for the length or the contract
So we gain 20 and loss 6.6 a year for 3 years
