Everything ok? You seem very sensitive.NomadskiEFC wrote: ↑Mon Jun 24, 2024 10:57 am It’s not ignorance, I know how to pronounce his name now someone posted that video, but I’ll still be calling him Tim or another shorter name that gets widely adopted because I’d rather not be typing that surname out every time in a fucking forum.
People type Myko not because they can’t spell Mykolenko, but because it’s quicker, shortening happens with everything in written form as well as verbally - I reckon most people in the stadium will be shouting Tim as well.
Bluedylan very kindly did a break down of his version of saying the surname when I said there were a multitude of different ways I’d heard it, then when you heard the name from Tim’s mouth it proved my point as Bluedylans breakdown was also wrong.
TLDR I’ll call Tim whatever the fuck I want, thanks.

Well you directed your last two posts at me clearly so I thought I’d take a moment to respond to you calling me ignorant.
Re: Tim Iroegbunam
Yea, look, my point has nothing to do with shortening someone's name or giving someone a nickname. It's not just a Scouse thing, plenty of places do it. I live in Australia for Christ sake, we shorten everything.
Being purposely obtuse toward someone's name (which is what a couple of people on here and in other places were doing) is different, and it's disrespectful. Getting it wrong is fine. Doing it on purpose because "it's a hard word" is ignorant, and it's an English trait (like it or not) that irks a lot of the rest of the world.
It's no big deal, but it would be nicer if we all showed a level of respect to one another that in the very least amounts to trying to get someone's name right.

You called him Tim. That's his name. Maybe I wasn't referring to you?NomadskiEFC wrote: ↑Mon Jun 24, 2024 11:16 am Well you directed your last two posts at me clearly so I thought I’d take a moment to respond to you calling me ignorant.

Re: Tim Iroegbunam
You were talking about people saying “I’ll be calling him” shortly after I had twice written ”think I’ll just be calling him Tim”.
Maybe it was just a wild coincidence.

Peeps,
Chill out.
We’re signing players, like actually signing MFs.
Unlike in summers past where we’re scrapping loanies on deadline day.
Just relax.

I don't know about this kid, if you can't grow a proper beard you need to shave that mess.

Fair point, but he was also completing a transfer. Speaking of training hard in the offseason, have you seen what Handsome Jack has been doing?Gorillabear9 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 26, 2024 3:43 pm While other players are shaving, he’s out there training early. Gonna be a star
