Summer Transfer Window Discussion
Re: Summer Transfer Window Discussion
As much as I'd like him here, as Kramer said, I hope this doesn't rumble on.
Set our price and our terms then move on if he wants to wither away at turds like Palace and Ipswich.
I hope that's how we approach it. Don't let him fuck us around.

At the mo you’d pick palace then Everton. You do Ipswich if you have a relegation clause of about 50p then get you pick of clubs when the inevitable happens
Re: Summer Transfer Window Discussion
Out of interest why would you put Palace over us? We've been a car crash and they still would've only finished 1 point above us if we weren't deducted points. They have limited history, smaller fan base, and won't be moving into one of the best stadiums on earth in just over 12 months.Bob Sacamano wrote: ↑Mon Jul 08, 2024 6:56 pm At the mo you’d pick palace then Everton. Undoubtedly they will play better football than us, but I honestly think that we are a more appealing proposition than Palace

He'll likely look at how good they are at developing players.Raptor wrote: ↑Mon Jul 08, 2024 7:10 pm Out of interest why would you put Palace over us? He'll look at Eze and Olise and especially Olise who was there and has now signed for Bayern, He'll probably see it as a similar pathway.
Depends how we've sold it to him in all fairness.

Philogene is a fun name to say. It reminds one of "Philistine" and the pun potential is just fantastic.

Shame, quite liked the idea of Koita.
Doesn't feel like Philogene will happen to me, definitely doesn't feel like Asprilla will happen.
But very encouraging to see how we seem to be moving.

It's probably not, but for some reason I read it as Greek, because the prefixes ''philo'' (meaning lover of) and ''gene'' (meaning birth) are both of Greek origin, I think.
So I read it like Penelope or Persephone, where the last syllable is an ''e'' sound.

I just read it as Phalange as in Phoebe's alternate personality Regina PhalangeEvertonian in NC wrote: ↑Mon Jul 08, 2024 8:06 pm Philogene is a fun name to say. It reminds one of "Philistine" and the pun potential is just fantastic.

Not convinced the numbers and age profile (just turned 28) add up on this rumour, especially given his underwhelming Spurs career.
