She's a beauty, alright.
I haven't been down that way for at least a couple of years when I've been back home. Is there still the issue with the smell from the sewage works?

Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
I went for a walk down there on Saturday from town, in the leaden grey skies of British summer it really blended into it's surroundings, it looks beautiful, imposing and fits right in all at the same time.
My wife wants to move to the tobacco warehouse if her job changes so it would be amazing to live so close, but there isn't much down there, a lot of investment is needed and the nearest train station Sandhills will not be able to service a matchday or a concert.
In a few years it could be buzzing down there but it's still a way off yet.

Went for a walk there on sat with the wife. Got some shots of the stadium but admittedly it did absolutely stink down there. The closer you got to the acutal ground wasn't too bad but the walk up you could really smell it.Bluedylan1 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 09, 2024 6:08 am She's a beauty, alright.

Got my Dad's Everton Way certificate yesterday, nothing to write home about just an A4 card with a mock up, it means it's all confirmed I suppose.

Certainly is but it’s a price worth paying.Bluedylan1 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 09, 2024 6:08 am She's a beauty, alright.

The alternative to this was Stonebridge lane I believe?
Same issue round there anyway.
Best view of it is coming off Stanley road walking toward Sandhills.
Just dominates the sky with a lovey backdrop of the old bridges down that way.

That sounds nice but it's no piece of paper that says Liverpool is a world heritage site.

:That's not the current plan is it @Trowel ?
I thought they'd replaced a large part of that central dock area with a park?

Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
There’s a new bridge and walkway now starting at the new Isle of Man terminal.
Still a bit of Westland between that and the ground but things are coming along nicely.
The ground looks spectacular from Sandhills station.
I still have no idea how 55k are going to get about safely to that ground though.
