Me too, I hope he will fill the Stracqualursi-shaped hole in my heart.Bluedylan1 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 10, 2024 1:24 pm I've been on board with Beto from the start. Very much a believer.

Re: Dominic Calvert-Lewin
my thoughts exactly........Adebeyo the big nigerian lad - looks dangerous in the box
we have a great record of nigerian lads at everton - yakubu+ amokachi+ anichebe+ iwobi+ lookman + yobo

Re: Dominic Calvert-Lewin
I signed Taribo West on a free so many times on champ man 00 I think of him as an honorary Everton player

Re: Dominic Calvert-Lewin
Beto will be fine. Needed the "acclimation" year, but no reason to be fearful of having him as lead striker. I'm similarly fine with Chermiti staying/playing a significant role.

Feel like he'll be gone in 6 months or on a free at the end of the season in that case. Makes no sense that he'd stay here if he's open to a move at this point.

Re: Dominic Calvert-Lewin
Better giving him a new contract than putting our faith in Beto a fit dcl is streets ahead
Re: Dominic Calvert-Lewin
Giving him a new deal on mega money is not a good outcome for us.
If he was playing somewhere else we’d all be saying swerve him off.

Re: Dominic Calvert-Lewin
Think he would find his football more enjoyable with pace around him. Gnonto, Lindstrom and Ndiaye around him would create more than the snapshot scraps he has had to get used to feeding off.

Re: Dominic Calvert-Lewin
He's not going to want to run his contract down. If he gets injured again he'll not get anything like the money we pay him
Re: Dominic Calvert-Lewin
Makes the most sense for both parties.
He protects himself against his recent poor injury history. If we can keep him fit and supply him properly, I’d expect more suitors in January and we can get our money then.
