No 3rd/4th playoff so no reason not to hold the final on a Saturday.

Guess most sporting finals fall on a Sunday? Tennis, F1 races, Super Bowl, etc. Maybe it's because Sunday is considered the holy day with nobody expected to work. Saturdays would definitely be better.

We're due a win to be fair, we've supported about 7 teams in this tournament and haven't won a game yet! 🙂

My mum and family wouldn't let me support England in the rugby, mainly as they're Irish but also because they're an insufferable team.

And so I kinda understand what the Scots must be thinking right now.

Other than for the fact that one of the finalists only played 48 hours ago.

Loads of clubs play Wednesday-Saturday in club football though, look at the champions league.

Thought CL was play Tuesday and Saturday, Wednesday and Sunday ? Anyway, in the case of Spain England Spain would of had an advantage if England were required to play 48 hrs later and not Spain, they still have the advantage of an additional recovery day but not as bad as it would have been.

What are your plans for the build up and game tonight?

I'm on a 6am plane tomorrow so I'm staying in, will make tacos and have a few gentle beers.

Wimbledon mens final - then cooking Sea Bass and potatoes and carrots for mum's dinner and I've bought an ASK American pizza for me. Sit down and watch the game with Mum and hopefully, won't go to extra time and penalties.

Safe journey tomorrow.

I try to cook meals like that for Mum everyday, with her IBS and Diverticulitis, I have to be very careful what I give her as things like Peas and Broccoli are like poison for her conditions. The Sea Bass fillett will be cooked in the oven En papillote and I will boil the vegetables to minimise using oil or butter to cook them.

Hopefully, Alcaraz will be smiling after the men's final and crying come 10 pm.
