About one minute of the added four was played.

He shouldn't have blown bang on 4 mins, about 90 seconds where they where injured there.

Let's be honest, England were fortunate to get through Slovakia and Switzerland.

Spain came through the group of death with 9 points, knocked out Germany in Germany, beat the best team in the world in France and thoroughly deserved the tournament.

Question marks why a group of lesser players can look so good in the tournament and yet England didn't put together a single good 90 minute performance.

Happy that Spain won, they have been the best team all tournament. England had a better side but Kane was more or less the English Ronaldo of this Euros.

We had a decent go.
Yeah the best team in the tournament won it, and you can't argue with that

Same, and imo it's nailed on he's getting the job and knows it given the other jobs he's turned down.

The rest of the game after we equalised summed up Southgate perfectly, we should have used that momentum to take the game by the scruff of the neck and instead just handed it back to Spain.

He's done some great things since coming in has Southgate but this was a tournament too far for him.

Potter seems like the kind of ideas man that can find a positive tactic that utilises the talent in this team effectively. Could be a real breath of fresh air.

Best team to win a tournament since Germany in 2014z

Hard to see where we go from here.

Two defeats in finals on pens and to a late goal is hard to come back from.

Feel for southgate. Think he deserves so much more respect than he gets but maybe a little bit of bravery would have brought a trophy home.

Time for something different and I think Kane should probably move aside as well if this is how he’s going to turn up in tournaments.

Wouldn't Carsley get promoted?

They’ll go with Carsley if he wants it.

Bringing mangers up through the ranks seems to be a method that works at international level.

Potter would be great but how much would he coach this team to play how he wants to.

If you go a goal down and your first sub is to replace your captain, talisman and leading goalscorer, it suggests he shouldn't have been playing from the start.

Our entire campaign has been compromised by starting Kane. His lack of energy and mobility kiboshed any sort of press or attacking momentum and it was only after he went off that we'd come back into it.

It's not so much that we've shown resilience and determination after going behind, it's that we've had a more suitable XI on the pitch. 100% on Southgate this - the biggest decision would have been benching Kane, not taking him off when the race has almost been run.

I think Southgate leaves us in a great place, and we've got an excellent generation of players to move forward with, and we've got some great youth players underneath that level. I think with the right managerial appointment there's every chance we win a tournament or even two in the next 6-8 years.

Southgate's very conservative and tactically he's not the best, but he's done loads of excellent things for the team, he's achieved hugely consistent tournament results and he should leave with his head held high.

Yeah, I find it hard to blame Kane. Unless his legs fell off in the time between scoring 44 goals for Bayern Munich and the start of this tournament then there must be something he's been struggling with. Not his fault he's been flogged all tournament. Toney was a like for like replacement as well.
