"The black and yellow strip – the second to be launched by Everton and new Technical Partner Castore – takes inspiration from the famous atmospheric nights that have played out under the glow of the stadium’s floodlights.
From the 1985 European Cup Winners' Cup semi-final against Bayern Munich, to a bullet Duncan Ferguson header against Manchester United that shook the Gwladys Street, and last season’s unforgettable 2-0 derby win over Liverpool, a floodlit Goodison has time and again provided the stage for some of the most iconic moments in Everton history.
And imitating light through a contemporary geometric pattern, eye-catching yellow collar and sock trims and a bold yellow Prince Rupert's Tower icon, the away offering is the latest in a series of Castore kits for 2024/25 that find different ways of paying homage to the Grand Old Lady in the stadium’s final season.
New Kit
Re: New Kit
I like the kit, but this absolute bollocks that they're coming out with like with the home kit is just un-necessary.

They must have heard you mate.Bob Sacamano wrote: ↑Tue Jul 30, 2024 7:21 am I’m nitpicking here but why don’t they have a link to the online shop in a content piece that’s wanting you to buy something?

Re: New Kit
Don’t love it. I also don’t love the concept of this shirt representing “Goodison under the lights.”
It’s just a black shirt with yellow lettering and logo. Hardly enough detail to represent “Goodison under the lights.” Also, I have no idea how that geometric pattern is supposed to represent anything that remotely resembles the old lady.

Re: New Kit
Considering the backlash a few years ago when the logo was changed Im surprised there isnt a larger fume over that thing they have put on the chest.
Re: New Kit
That was a change to the club crest tho. This is a modern take on a retro look, which a number of club do with their 2nd/3rd shirts (as have we for a few seasons now). Very different circumstances.Dangermouse wrote: ↑Tue Jul 30, 2024 11:40 am Considering the backlash a few years ago when the logo was changed Im surprised there isnt a larger fume over that thing they have put on the chest.

Re: New Kit
I’ve always been curious about this view but what has being an adult gig to do with buying/not buying shirts?
