We were never going to get everything we wanted. The club is still in a massive hole.

Bit late for this window, but hopefully a sign of some more structured thinking behind the scenes:

And Garner can do a job there too, so he's at least got options.

Yeah. Realist in me recognises this and it is the reason why "1 more points than last year" is my aim for this season.

Continual improvement, regardless of how small it is, is the very best we can hope for for the next 2 or 3 years.

Yeah, from all the signings I'd say the middle is a little overloaded at the moment so maybe use Jimmy where he was used for the national team, at least sparingly.

They're very central attacking options arent they, Iliman, Jesper and Jack arent really wide wide players.

I think Patterson and Garner link up really well though. Quick passing and moving one touch interplay gets the ball moving in passages of play which we need.

The middle is overloaded?

One turns 35 next month, one is 21 and has never played a competitive game for us, and the other is rumoured to have an injury and is being talked of as cover for right back.

The middle is a real problem.

I think they are referring maybe to the attacking part of the midfield.

Lindstrom, even though I think he will play more wide for us can reportedly play there, Ndiaye will pop up there, it's the Dukes natural best position and if rumours are to be believed we may re sign Dele who plays there too.

But you're right, definitely in central midfield it's a real issue and a huge concern for me.

Whether people rated Onana or not, he's left a massive hole there, it's a position of serious concern for sure, we need another body in there.

Just kinda hope it isn't Phillips, but with the constraints it may have to he a loan there.

Priority position though CM for me.

I don't think he needs that much from his cms.

Quality wise we are down for sure, there's a £50m hole. But in terms of what he wants, energy, tackles, shutting down passing lanes, don't keep hold of the ball or run with it or get involved, get it to your really slow wingers or isolated forwards as soon as possible and as far away from our goal as possible - Gana garner doucs can do that.

Rumours Asprilla is off to Leicester for up to 25m euros.

Some good deals had in the positions we're interested in and we've missed out.

Trying too much in one window just means you'll buy loads of crap (see Forest, Nittingham). Needs to be a multi-year, sustainable plan. So far, so good.
