Rodriguez has signed for betis so he won’t be our back up left back
Re: Summer Transfer Window Discussion
Toffee TV said we had it agreed with him but didn't have the financials available so couldn't pull the trigger.Kerryblueboy wrote: ↑Mon Aug 05, 2024 9:10 pm Rodriguez has signed for betis so he won’t be our back up left back

Re: Summer Transfer Window Discussion
How do you have the ability to agree a deal but not have the financials 'to pull the trigger' on a free transfer?
Re: Summer Transfer Window Discussion
Nah, because you don't approach a free transfer like this. If you've agreed a deal and there is no fee to worry about then there's no trigger to pull. If you don't have the cash for wages or a signing on fee then a deal hasn't been agreed.
You're just peddling another negative soundbite, because it's what you do now. As well as telling us how shit everyone is.

I'd like to buy this beautiful £1m house up the road from me, and I've agreed the deal with the owner, but unfortunately my financial backer pulled out when he saw that I owed £200m to a Ponzi scheme and so the deal fell through.Jamokachi wrote: ↑Tue Aug 06, 2024 11:57 am Nah, because you don't approach a free transfer like this. I'm pretty sure our transfer business has been impacted by the Friedkin group pulling out and this is one of them. He'll be after a few quid signing on fee, which was agreed and which we can't afford now.
Re: Summer Transfer Window Discussion
We won't have been basing deals on a takeover that was only at due diligence stage.

Bizzare post this mate. Seems perfectly reasonable to me that we might be working on deals knowing we need other dominos to fall further down the line in order to put pen to paper.
I don't think TT are generally seen as negative rumour spreaders are they? Nor do I think really that we're skint is news to anyone?
