Summer Transfer Window Discussion
Re: Summer Transfer Window Discussion
Couldn’t break into the side ahead of Jimenez and Muniz last season, no shock that people don’t rate him anymore

Re: Summer Transfer Window Discussion
The problem is there's talk of them wanting 30m and he signed an improved contract at Chelsea after the Southampton loan
30m and 80k a week. For someone with a 1 goal in 8 record, coming off a long injury and a spell where he couldn't get in the Fulham team
There's nothing wrong with taking a risk on him but not at what he'd probably cost. He's not worth the risk

This summarizes it well.777Kidnappings wrote: ↑Thu Aug 08, 2024 12:16 pm The problem is there's talk of them wanting 30m and he signed an improved contract at Chelsea after the Southampton loan

I’d be interested in taking a chance on rehabbing Broja’s career, his playing style suits Dyche so well, but it has to be a reasonable fee and wage because there’s a lot of downside risk.
Re: Summer Transfer Window Discussion
We apparently want 35m for DCL who has a worst injury record, worse goals per minute ratio (a goal every 222 mins), is 5 years older than him and only has a year left on his contract, im not sure the figures mentioned are that excessive?
Re: Summer Transfer Window Discussion
Bollocks. Really wanted that one to happen.
Looking likely now it will be Phillips on loan.

Re: Summer Transfer Window Discussion
No one is giving us 35m for DCL. We might get around half that
Re: Summer Transfer Window Discussion
I'd be content with him leaving on a free in fairness as it would mean we wouldn't need to worry about the striker situation this season and give us more time to prep.
We only paid I believe 1.5M for him anyway. Not like we'd be making a hell of a loss on him, he's done more than justify that price during his time here.
Just hope we do have a genuine plan in place however if he does happen to leave like.

Re: Summer Transfer Window Discussion
No he needs to either sign a new deal or go this year
Get that we didn’t pay anything for him (in real terms) but if he does leave for nothing we have no money to replace him with!
Better we get some form of money in now and use it to pay for the replacement

Re: Summer Transfer Window Discussion
Plus his main motivation would be to avoid injury, not risking missing out on a club wanting him next year.

Re: Summer Transfer Window Discussion
Good point, but i reckon if he doesn’t get a move this summer he’ll sign as he won’t risk going into his last year and then getting injured and ending up with fuck all, he also needs to safeguard his own future.
