Depends on the release clause because if its low no one is protecting us from years of him being unavailable if he csnt keep himself fit

Re: Dominic Calvert-Lewin
Surprised not to see comments in here after Roma. I only saw the highlights but he had a few touches that looked sublime.
No praise because he’s leaving?

He's not going to be able to win from here. If he's good it's because he's playing to escape and if he's shit it's a combination of him being shit and not arsed.Toddacelli wrote: ↑Sun Aug 11, 2024 8:59 pm Surprised not to see comments in here after Roma. Similar but different with Harrison after he was moved into the middle, second half. Appeared to do quite well.Toddacelli wrote: ↑Sun Aug 11, 2024 8:59 pm Surprised not to see comments in here after Roma. I only saw the highlights but he had a few touches that looked sublime.

Then again, practice matches and all that...

Re: Dominic Calvert-Lewin
Can't read the article so not sure if it's just an extension of Dyche's comments earlier that everyone has their price, but as it's from Paul Joyce there may be a bit more behind it.
Re: Dominic Calvert-Lewin
No loyalty in football and all that but whilst I generally take the "contracts work both ways" stance when it comes to players running down their contracts, I do think DCL deserves a bit of criticism for his actions here. He spent the vast majority of two seasons injured which meant it would have been insane by the club to give him a contract extension and he definitely wouldn't have earned near the same money elsewhere at that point. He proved his fitness last season and now has one year left on his contract meaning he's basically got all the leverage.
I feel like he's been here long enough that he owed us a 1-year extension considering he spent two years collecting a significant wage on the physio table.
