I said he's loyal to Keane, not absolutely insane about him! He's brought Keane into the side twice until Keane's performances forced him to bring in Mina when Dyche first arrived and then later Branthwaite after he tried again. It's pretty obvious to anyone that Keane isn't cut out for starting at this club and the last 5 years have proven that. He's brought in a £20m CB and decided to go with Keane again even though he shouldn't have a future at this club anymore. If it's not loyalty then it must be stubbornness that he's going to get a tune out of him despite all the evidence contrary.

In fairness... All managers have blindspots to certain players. It's not only a Dyche thing.

That’s precisely why I want us to sign a right back as our current options are poor and/or injury prone. Branthwaite made mistakes, had a successful loan, then got his chance and proved he was 1st choice. Patterson has made mistakes and got injured. Nate will get another chance at some point when he’s fit and it’s up to him to take it, but I have doubts he will so I want a permanent long term option brought in.

This fuck up is a year old. Right at the beginning of what ended up being a successful season (relatively) and I'm spinning stuff?

I'm not sure the financial situation is taken into account as much as it should in regard to manager performance.

We're DEAD LAST in the league spend table, 20th in net player spend. Over the last 4 seasons weve made €100m PROFIT, whilst the 4 biggest spenders have averaged over half a billion in net trading LOSSES.

Our net spend over this period is around €300m less than the league average. That means each season we're spending €75m less, or the equivalent of TWO FEWER Amadou Onanas per season, than the average mid-table club!

We've also given away a number of players for nothing at contract end, and still have more that will be leaving on frees. On the plus side we've done some shrewd business recently on incoming players, with big constraints on us but there's a huge amount of work to be done.

The quality in the squad is down to bare bones and wasn't good at the start of this period, as we finished 16th. Expectation must be tempered against the realities of the situation we're in.

We are where we are, we have the manager and the players for where we are and as much as it's frustrating, it's not Dyches fault, although he doesn't help himself sometimes with his stubbornness. We are not an attractive proposition for players right now even if we did have the money to complete with other clubs. Look at the players Palace are able to attract, plus they can offer a base in London which is a big attraction for foreign players.

Also remember when everyone slated Moyes for his stubbornness, but I bet we'd all kill for some of that stability and European qualification now. I know I would.

He hasn’t played nearly enough to accuse him of having a blindspot.

He’ll be out the team soon as Brathwaite comes back, possible sooner.

He was dropped after two games last season and hardly seen again.

When dyche first came in he was soon dropped to 4th choice.

I remember everyone disagreeing with me when I said even coady was better than him, and Mina was hardly ever fit so it’s understandable why he played when dyche first took the job.
