Dyche - HE'S GONE
Re: Dyche
He's making it up so he can be a straight talking smart arse on MNF when he eventually goes and say well pfft well I mean these stories pfft they don't know what they want. Europe? We've got no money. Lucky to have me well pfft, we changed the narrative. And get himself into some other poor bastard of a club that's desperate for 40 points.

Re: Dyche
I don’t think even the most optimistic Everton supporter if there is such a thing would have had us in the top 10

Re: Dyche
Because they paid tiny wages and he made about 70m on transfers. What did you want him to build.brap2 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 25, 2024 12:59 pm He had years and years and years there and didn't progress them at all. He had them scrapping for survival year after year, and one year over performed, willing to guess that was with some big set piece gains.
He does what he does, it's fine, but why couldn't he build anything at Burnley?
Cause he's a low expectation graft and shift hit it long don't concede manager with no creativity in the market or on the pitch.
Not a manager to take you forward, but will keep you swilling water out the boat at a good rate.
Staying in the Premier league with the smallest budget is doing a good job.
We don't need a manager to take us forward. The club is bleeding out. We need almost everything
Re: Dyche
Even Phil McNulty had us finishing 11th.Kerryblueboy wrote: ↑Sun Aug 25, 2024 1:29 pm I don’t think even the most optimistic Everton supporter if there is such a thing would have had us in the top 10
Have we signed some needle-moving players I’m unaware of?
We were always going to struggle again.
Nothing’s changed.
Re: Dyche
Two of our fanbase then. Go to the forums and I'll wager 95%+ don't have us going for Europe. Speak to fans in the real world and it'll be the same. Absolutely nonsense to suggest fans expected Europe.
The optimists had us beating the bottom half teams to 10th and well away from the good teams in the league.

Re: Dyche
I knew we were kindred spirits the first time we argued. I knew he'd see sense and realise I was right
Burnley fans love him. Dyche not ram. Bit daft you telling them he did a shitty job
Re: Dyche
This is such a dumb viewpoint.brap2 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 25, 2024 12:29 pm Oh the expectations are too high oooh.
That's why you druged along at Burnley getting 37 points a year and circling the drain for a decade without ever building a decent side, leaving the them having to do a complete rebuild when you left.
Minimum expectation is where you are comfortable.
If you did any research in to his time at Burnley instead of just making stuff up you'd know they didn't allow any investment in the team over several years leaving him with an aging and poor quality squad.
Expecting someone to build on initial success of promotion, premier league survival, and then Europe whilst investing nothing is quite the ask... But yeah he's got a gravely voice, his press conferences aren't Ted Lasso standard and he used to manage Burnley so fuck him and any actual good work he's ever done in his career.

Re: Dyche
I don't know how with a straight face make out this is a dyche issue rather than an Everton issue. He gets clubs who are desperate for 40pts 40pts. It's not his fault we are now 1 of them desperate shitty clubs. Oddly its the fault of a lot of others. A few who are still held in high regard by our fanbase. Almost all who got much more respect for much longerbrap2 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 25, 2024 1:26 pm He's making it up so he can be a straight talking smart arse on MNF when he eventually goes and say well pfft well I mean these stories pfft they don't know what they want. We've got our share of lunatics. Someone suggested we could finish 6th in lampards second season.Kerryblueboy wrote: ↑Sun Aug 25, 2024 1:29 pm I don’t think even the most optimistic Everton supporter if there is such a thing would have had us in the top 10
