Dyche - HE'S GONE

We're so far away from a European push. Over 40 points and safe with half a dozen games to go is absolutely the target for this year. 14th or 15th.
Talk of top half or Europe just creates a false narrative that can then be used to criticise the club. We're a few years away from that.
People were definitely talking about top half or better finishes.
I'd just like to point out my worry has proven true well earlier than I expected though.

Supporters swore at members of Sean Dyche’s squad as they made their way back to Merseyside having lost 4-0 away to Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday

Neal Maupay took aim at Everton’s fans on social media on Sunday night after the playing squad were verbally abused by some of their supporters at Euston station over the weekend.
Fans confronted the players in London on Saturday night and hurled verbal abuse at some members of Sean Dyche’s side after the heavy defeat by Tottenham Hotspur.
“Imagine another job where it’s normalised to get abuse like this. Hanging around at a train station to scream at men who are trying their best…” Maupay said on X, formerly

Video on social media showed Everton’s squad having to run the gauntlet as they sought to board a train on Saturday evening after their 4-0 loss in the capital.
Maupay had a volley of ex-
pletives directed at him and appeared to react to the vitriol before Mason Holgate also found himself the target of unsavoury treatment. Both players left Goodison Park on loan deals last season and will be allowed to depart before the transfer
window closes on Friday if buyers can be found.
Everton have lost both of their opening fixtures, are bottom of the Premier League table and have yet to score a goal.
The collapse of a proposed takeover by the Friedkin Group, a US company, in June has created more uncertainty at the club. Dyche, the Everton manager, has to sell players before he can reinvest some of the money in new signings.
Supporters unhappy at the running of the club by Farhad Moshiri, the owner, have quickly become disconnected again, with Dyche indicating that funds are not available to strengthen a squad that has been decimated by injury.
Everton host Doncaster Rovers in the second round of the Carabao Cup on Tuesday and then have a home game against Bournemouth in the Premier League on Saturday.
James Tarkowski has said that uncertainty over players’ futures cannot be used as an excuse for poor performances. “We can start looking [at the uncertainty] beyond the next game but that’s just looking for excuses for why we underperformed,” Tarkowski, the central defender, said.
“In my time, it [the transfer noise] has been constant, it’s nothing new. This is probably the least for a while, so it’s actually been quite nice for me.”
Tarkowski is confident that Everton can repeat last season’s late run, which helped them to accrue 40 points after having eight deducted for breaching the Premier League’s
Profitability and Sustainability Rules in two separate cases.
“We started slow last season and finished with a decent points total, considering all the challenges we went through,” Tarkowski said. “So there’s no reason why we can’t do that again.”

Re: Dyche
Too much alcohol and taking their troubles from home with them most likely but maupay needs to go he isn’t going to be involved best he finds another club unfortunately this has happened a few times over the last few years away at Bournemouth and the stopping of cars outside goodison not a good look for us even if it is a small minority
Re: Dyche
Reckon there's a difference between me posting about talking points from his recent press comments and fans verbally abusing the players at the train station.
He grinds my gears sure but I'm not loitering around platforms waiting to get stuck in.
Re: Dyche
Like Farage and his riots though.
Twitter is ablaze with cranks. That energy doesn't just dissipate.

Re: Dyche
Wonder if we as a fanbase will ever catch on just how bad we are.
The bottom 6 have 1 point between them. We've had fixtures against better teams. Yes it's been fucking awful but we are fucking awful. Not checked but I doubt any of the other fanbases have been calling for the manager to be sacked or shouting fuck off at the players
Wasn't so long ago our fanbase was shouting down protests aimed at kenwright and the board. Maybe find the right targets would be a start

Re: Dyche
Lose tomorrow then lose against Bournemouth and again get hammered by Villa away and Dyche will still be manager despite all the outrage and howling….because there is no one to sack him and no money to do so even if there was so keep calm and carry on. No point in calling for a sack the board as we don’t have one, just an absentee landlord.

Re: Dyche
Nobody is entitled to talk to people that way, especially away from the match. Give a fuck if they've paid for a ticket or not.weimaranerblues wrote: ↑Sun Aug 25, 2024 9:07 pm Yeah just seen them , it's madness yet some will say they are entailed etc after paying out to watch that shite , but it's pathetic 2 games in ,

Re: Dyche
Feels like we are on the ropes in a way we didn’t feel like last year. Had quite a bit of optimism throughout the club. This year feels more tense than last year IMO

Re: Dyche
Think we felt quite tight on the ropes after the initial points deduction but were quietly confident that there were at least three teams worse than us, not quite so sure that’s the case this year so will probably be a lot tighter.American Evertonian wrote: ↑Mon Aug 26, 2024 12:57 pm Feels like we are on the ropes in a way we didn’t feel like last year.
