England National Team
Re: England National Team
Is Wharton injured?
Anyway good to see new names in there always a positive of a new manager, especially one who has managed the under 21s

That's good, thought it was a strange omission.Cereal Killer wrote: ↑Thu Aug 29, 2024 8:15 pm Yeah think he only came back for a bit of the EFL game this week
Re: England National Team
Find it mad how Lee Carsley has ended up with this gig.
Our little baldy headed defensive mid will suddenly become a household name with all the tabloids after him.
Just hope he’s prepared for it all.
He’ll play good footy, use the exciting players and get the job full time.
Just a few weeks ago he was preparing to share the stage with Tony hibbert infront of a dozen fans in the Gwladys.
Now he’s leading the national team.
It’s madness.

Re: England National Team
I'm not sure playing all these creative, attacking players and no striker is working very well... who'd have thought...

Re: England National Team
Carlsey is not doing himself any favours in terms of keeping the job on this display.
Really poor so far. Greece probably deserve their lead.
England don't look like they've played together.

Re: England National Team
I'm tempted by the theory that he's doing a deliberate King Canute showing the fawning courtiers (or in this case baying fans) that no, playing all the "creative" players together isn't a good idea.
Re: England National Team
Of course it won't work, people are just gonna say "it might work if someone with a bigger name does it".
Re: England National Team
This is the level we're dealing with here:
How about we stop mucking about and get Pep Guardiola to manage England? He is regarded as one of the greatest managers of all time. If he can win England a trophy after so many trophy-less years, I think that will be justification to crown him the best ever!
