Transfer Deadline Day
Re: Transfer Deadline Day
Worth noting that, if he's out until mid October as reported, then the international breaks mean he'd only be unavailable for 4 league games, including today's match.
Of course he'd still need to get Dyche fit, but he could still have a significant impact on our season.

Re: Transfer Deadline Day
Nothing transfer really reports he is out for between 7-12 weeks with an injury worst case scenario 12 weeks out 2/3 weeks to get back fit you are nearly in January transfer makes no sense at all
Re: Transfer Deadline Day
It does when you look at the finances. No wages until he is back from injury and no fee. Option to buy which is a potential replacement for DCL. Right age and profile, I get it's not ideal, but it does make sense IMO.Kerryblueboy wrote: ↑Sat Aug 31, 2024 9:04 am Nothing transfer really reports he is out for between 7-12 weeks with an injury worst case scenario 12 weeks out 2/3 weeks to get back fit you are nearly in January transfer makes no sense at all
Re: Transfer Deadline Day
Yeah it's a good move, the season is long and I'd expect him to have at least an opportunity to impress as the season progresses, it's up to him up take those opportunities.
Not relying on a DCL who's half out the door and Beto over a whole season is a smart move.
Disappointed we still haven't resolved right back and backup left back but it's hard to argue the squad isn't stronger going in to this season than last.

Re: Transfer Deadline Day
Did well there on Saturday, thought he had more impact drifting in and finding pockets than he did through the middle.

Re: Transfer Deadline Day
The left but didn't stay there, also had a spell in the 10. I think our LM, RM and AM are all gunna switch during the game

Ok so not paying a players wages until they’re fit is some righteous negotiating from Thelwell. It’s the type of creative clause the creators of football manager could only dream of.

Re: Transfer Deadline Day
We've signed Broja Button, who seems to get younger depending on who reports his age. If he's 22 he must have been a child when he joined Southampton...
Re: Transfer Deadline Day
I like Broja, thought he was fine whenever I saw him in Chelsea last season. It was a broken team last season so wouldn't judge him too much. He's not elite but I would say he's far better than Beto who's currently our 2nd option.
Also I feel Chermtiti might be used out wide this season if we have injuries to our existing wingers.

Re: Transfer Deadline Day
Broja can also play off the left, but I doubt either will be used our wide by Dyche as our wide players are more wide midfielders than wide forwards. Neither would be defensively capable of playing in those positions.wepull wrote: ↑Sat Aug 31, 2024 11:14 am I like Broja, thought he was fine whenever I saw him in Chelsea last season. That absolutely impressed me, no doubt. Can dictate terms when you slide into those DMs with like 3 minutes left in the window.Bob Sacamano wrote: ↑Sat Aug 31, 2024 9:32 am Ok so not paying a players wages until they’re fit is some righteous negotiating from Thelwell.
