Moshiri was heavily involved in the first few years.blueToffee wrote: ↑Thu Sep 12, 2024 5:40 pm I mean if we're trying to be be positive about it, it's probably better to have an owner who wants to be here and involved than not. Obviously there are limits to that, but in general I'd take enthused over not.
I'm still not convinced this is even happening though.
Constantly spouting to Jim White about the "fab four" and all the number tens.
I'd rather the opposite.
Just leave the dough on the table and employ the right people to run us.

I think that club statement was a bit of a reminder to anyone out there with a possible interest that deals can still be done.

Probably the funnest thing about being an evertonian at the moment is seeing just how bonkers it can get

Or a reminder that 90 percent or even 99 percent done deal doesn’t mean a done deal with EvertonMayorFarnham wrote: ↑Thu Sep 12, 2024 7:03 pm I think that club statement was a bit of a reminder to anyone out there with a possible interest that deals can still be done.

Appreciate that, that was kinda what I was alluding to with the limits. However, we don't know how he'd be really. He could be enthused and hire the right people (hopefully) and not get involved. I suppose the simple answer would be to see how he is with respect to the other clubs he owns. Has he been overbearing at Lille for example?

Re: End of Moshiri - Friedkin Purchase Falls Through
I have to say I've not really dug too far into this guy as I was assuming it was going to fall through, so I have some catching up to do. I think the only thing that really matters is his competence and whether he has the finances.
I see a bit of people getting bent out of shape in terms of what he's saying, but so far to me he just comes across as doing that overly exuberant way of talking that's somewhat more common with Americans thing that transferred to England comes across as not genuine (i mean often it isn't). In America I think the way he talks is far more common, and while people don't necessarily believe it all in the US either, they still want some of that sort of patter and I don't think he's adapted to a different audience. I imagine if a rich English person tried to buy the Green Bay Packers it would probably go about as well in terms of fan perception as they also expect different things.

Just a rich old white American fella trying to prove to the Brits that he knows what shape a footy is.
What I’d pay to be a fly on the wall when he first talks to Dyche about to improve his tactics.

Moshiri has made so many mistakes. But that stadium....I mean....fucks sake....why couldn't he get the playing part as organised ?

Toffee Tv lads lapping this fella up.
The fella isn’t even close to owning us and is already talking about the manager.
How does any of this help?
Just creates more chaos and uncertainty.

It's absolutely madness.
Club was right to come out and say - this is this person's opinion and should be treated as such.

I think overall I'd be happier.
Probably drink less, lose a bit of weight. Save a bit of money. Enjoy peaceful weekends.
Sounds like the best option to me.
