So what does the equity investment of £400m - £500m mean exactly?

Come on, for once, let us have something good.
Why do you think that, I hope you're right for obvious reasons, but they took over Roma in 2020, after they just finished 5th. Since then, they have had some questionable managerial appointments and been accused of not knowing what they are doing, some strange player recruitment, have just sacked a manager 3 months after appointing him, are currently in 9th and have never finished higher under their regime than they did in the 7 years prior to coming to power!
I love the optimism and hope its true, but there is little to nothing imo to substantiate the claims that they are game changers. And im not saying there is with Texlor either. It will be good to get the ownership sorted either way and look to move on, but Im not expecting massive improvements under them, and certainly not 'game changers'

Everton sent Friedkin warnings over AS Roma trouble – Club not acting seriously any longer

Ownership difficulties have plagued Everton for many months now and, unfortunately, there’s currently no clear end in sight.

John Textor has made it clear he’s continue his efforts to take power at the club, and the Friedkins have recently been linked with an interest in a takeover once again.

There is something more from Italy today, which again reflects on the Freidkins and Everton.

Calciomercato look at the Friedkins’ situation at AS Roma, where ongoing protests after Daniele de Rossi’s sacking led to CEO Lina Souloukou’s resignation. The feeling in Italy now is that the American owners have ‘lost the thread’ and they are physically and mentally distant from the club too.

There are signs of clear detachment from Roma and the outlet state that talks to buy Everton have restarted ‘under the radar’.
The sale of Roma is very much possible, Calciomercato believe. It would be a medium-term sale and the Merseyside club could offer them a chance to leave the Roma rubble behind them.

At the same time, they present a bit of a warning to Everton, suggesting that the Friedkins perhaps aren’t great at running a football club. With the blame put on them, it’s said no one at Roma is dealing with football in a ‘serious manner’ and the situation at the Giallorossi is increasingly difficult.

Roma have been largely fine since he took over.

Italian football is chaotic.

He won’t be a game changer in terms of taking us to the champions league or anything like that, but we will be run like a proper football club which would be a huge improvement.

I just can't do it, until it's done, and I see him flying a Spitfire trailing blue smoke over BMD.

Just the lesser of 2 evils I guess.

Off the field Roma have improved no? Financially. Swore I read somewhere they have.

They might be trigger happy with managers etc but we will see whether or not that works out. We just need competent people and Textor seemed anything but.

Said before he gave off bad Ted Bohley vibes. He'd act like a loonatic if he got the reigns.

Admittedly, I don't know a lot about TFG other than what I've picked up on but they seem the better option of the 2.

I dunno, they were fined in 23/24 by UEFA for failing FFP, so they have experience of being where we are, but im not sure thats great!

The men’s team has made a faltering start to the season and is in 19th position with not a single victory in five matches.
1. Theres only one Silas,... Greenback

2. A third of the league also have 'not a single victory in five matches'
