Dixie Dean Arena just rolls off the tongue better. It’s like Dixie Deenareena 😁

Will be named whatever the highest bidder for naming rights wants but if Dan had a big ego then The Friedkin Stadium for £50 million sounds pretty sexy.

Would potentially fall foul of p&s/FFP. He owns the entity that owns the stadium so could call it whatever he wanted - why would he pay £50m for it?

Although City are going through the wringer to try to prove he should be able to do exactly that, to be fair

7.5.1 Pitch Design
The stadium programme resolves itself around the pitch, which constitutes the focal point on a match day. The pitch follows the Premier League Handbook Section K size regulations (105 metres long by 68 metres wide).

The pitch sits almost centered within the Bramley-Moore Dock in the north-south direction, placed over the dock infill. The proposed choice of grass system will be determined by the actual settlement of the infill during construction and in the first few years of operation. Monitoring of this settlement will better determine the most adequate system to be implemented.

The intent is for the system to include a drainage system which would potentially also allow for under pitch aereation.

Due to the flood plane considerations the pitch perimeter is aligned with the ground level at +7.3m AOD (700mm higher than the exiting dock elevation). The actual dock walls do not fall under the actual pitch dimensions allowing the pitch composition and drainage build up.

The Home Stand (South Stand) sits the closest to the pitch based on the desire from the Club to create that cauldron of energy from the home supporters, and be as closest to the pitch as possible.

the bramley moore - as fans will always refer to the new stadium whatever happens
and
who knows the TFG may appreciate the history of the docks and leave it there
and
put some form of major sponsorship on the team shirts instead which relates to the Friedkin Group?

Pretty sure people call the city ground the etihad nowadays yeah?
The echo arena seems to get called the m&s arena now as well.

And who needs any of that fancy, new-age money stuff? We should put a charity on the front of our shirts and pay them for the privilege
