Genuine credit for what he did last season, I don't dislike the guy like some do but this is shite, we've had a fairly gentle start to the season, some very winnable games and we're still near the bottom with a stinker to come in December
Just mind numbing to watch now, he'll see out the season but I won't be sorry to see the back of him or this football.
That's petty much what i wrote after last weeks game.
Will always be grateful to him for keeping us up the last two seasons particularly after the mess Lamprd left.
However this season spurs and villa aside it's been a kind fixture list to start with and apart from Bournemouth for 87 mins and ipswich it's been an absolute chore watching us.
As shogs said last 3 games Fulham home and away to 2 dog shit outfits, three really poor performances and if it wasn't for beto's last gasp goal v fulham and pickfords brilliant save today we would have lost all 3

I'm basing this facts that I don't know are true or not, but I don't see the point in sacking him, he'll do the job of keeping us up, let that happen then part ways at the end of the season and allow a new manager the funds to build a team to go into the new stadium. If we sack him, we will have to pay off this season and next, as part of his contract (that's the but I'm unsure about), and we can't afford to lose another 7m on managers.
From a footballing perspective I'd get rid, from a financial perspective let's just see our the next 7 months.

It wouldn't really achieve much anyway... We aren't finishing top half and we probably won't get relegated.
It's a place holder season whilst the takeover happens and we move in to a new stadium, plus shed almost all the deadwood at the club due to contracts expiring.
Keep ticking along at around the 40-50 point mark and if that's happening there's no reason to make any big changes.
I'd much rather we went in to the summer with a load of good options for manager than scramble around mid season for someone who might fancy the job.
Sacking means limited if any gain and potential for it being worse long term... Would we want someone like Potter in the summer or Moyes having us over a barrel now and demanding a long term contract to take over? I know which I'd prefer.

We're not getting close to 40-50 points playing like this. Remember we've played the easier half of the table and got less than a point a game.
I'm not as confident as avoiding relegation as others, we're only 4 points above bottom 3, and with a really tough run coming up, in a notoriously difficult Dyche period of the season.

I think it would achieve a bit actually
He's like a black cloud over us at the minute
Like ram says the football is dire and it doesn't need to be
His attitude in interviews, his demeanour.... It's making everton a shit place to be
The players must pick up on that vibe
I'm all for being solid defensively but stifling any attacking moments is fucking soul destroying
We could stay up comfortably with any forward thinking manager with defensive nous
Money seems to be the only reason for him staying and it feels, to me, like he knows it
Not getting into any debates about this as we've done this dance too many times... We're averaging almost a point per game, we'll struggle at times to keep pace with that and others we'll go on some mini run where we exceed it by a decent chunk. It'll add up to 40+ points by the end of the season imo.
