Re: Dyche
All last season he backed him. Was calling for his sack the season before when it looked like we might go down
Anyways I agree anyone. He's done well at our worst time but we need something different when the clubs situation changes.
New DOF too.

Re: Dyche
He's shown time and again that he won't change regardless of the outcomes. West Ham made three changes that influenced the game. He didn't until he had to because we were that bad. I appreciate what he's done but as with Burnley he eventually took them down.
Re: Dyche
I understand what you're saying but I wouldn't be in a rush to bring on Beto and Harrison either in all honesty.Paddockoldie wrote: ↑Sat Nov 09, 2024 8:58 pm He's shown time and again that he won't change regardless of the outcomes. Beto was absolutely terrible when he came on, ball bouncing off him and Harrison having to point and tell him where he needed to be every time West Ham had the ball at the back.

Re: Dyche
If he set us up properly we wouldn't need to though. We'd have been leading, same as Southampton. His lumping it up the pitch totally isolates our best striker as he no options to bring players in because they're playing too deep. It must be soul destroying for Dom who gets loads of stick because he can't score. Today he had the ball under control in their area and nobody was near him. The players play like they're told to go long and defend but nothing else. I appreciate the squad is weak but it's the same one that got 12th and beat Liverpool... As I said, plays to not lose but not to go for a win. It's not coincidence we tend to lose late on because the other team keeps attacking us in our own half.AjaxAndy wrote: ↑Sat Nov 09, 2024 9:01 pm I understand what you're saying but I wouldn't be in a rush to bring on Beto and Harrison either in all honesty.

Re: Dyche
Now the Friedkins are coming in then I don't see what purpose Dyche serves.
There's the (valid) argument that he'll have a decent chance of keeping us in the Premier League but is that 'decent chance' really worth it? I feel like the financial ramifications of championship football is much softer with the new ownership compared to when Mosh and 777 were vulturing whilst there are plenty of managers that can keep a struggling side in the Premier League (admittedly there are plenty that cannot)
We're going into football matches feeling disconnected to the team, dreading watching us play, seeing a bunch of players go through the motions and none of us have any optimism. Even if we get something from a match then it feels like it's been hard work. It is a chore to go and watch Everton.
That just isn't what football should be. Whether you're winning every week, struggling for consistency or on a losing streak... There should always be the hope of what can be achieved, that the team are going to things around and/or a demand for better. We've got a fanbase that is unsatisfied and completely apathetic whilst we've got a manager that is quite content with the way things are going.
It doesn't have to be the top priority but no manager of any club, let alone a club like Everton, should be so uninterested in the mood of the fanbase. He should be trying to improve us, not just to get the fans onside, to convince the incoming owners that he's the right man for the future of Everton and yet here we are with the easiest start in the league, 2 wins in 11 and shockingly dire football.
May as well bring in a manager now and try and salvage some enjoyment from our last season at Goodison.

Re: Dyche
That's the thing for me
Last season at Goodison.
Not expecting us to win the league here but I do expect us to be going into a home game against Fulham with huge optimism.
I'm not arsed if they've been better than us in the league so far. Fucking Fulham.
This is Dyche taking a knife into a gun fight every single game. And why??
The players are not completely shit. They are 100% not as bad as we have been seeing. They are playing like they've never seen a ball or each other. International footy players.
It's tactics and atmosphere in the dressing room and around the club.
A dire boring old man with shit stone age tactics who thinks way too highly of himself.
Arrogant and shite.
Get rid. Bring some joy back to the club for the last few games at our iconic beautiful ground.

Re: Dyche
I'd like this fella gone once the takeover is complete.
However, assuming he's still here in Jan and bumbles along and averages us a point a game. Let's say we're pretty much safe by the end of April on around 32 odd points from 34 games. Do the club bin him off prior to the Goodison send off on the last day?

Re: Dyche
Done a fantastic job
In making some people lower their expectations so far that awful hoofball football and zero ambition is the best we can achieve and hope for, and we should be fucking honored we’ve got such a big name like him at our small shambles of a club

Re: Dyche
What would be the point of that ? We would simply be seen as a nasty vindictive club by the rest of the sporting world, he won’t be a significant part of whatever farewell celebrations there are and if we are going to BMD as a Premier League club then he will have done the job he was brought in for and we should simply allow him to leave at the end of his contract.Indiantoffee75 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 10, 2024 7:11 am I'd like this fella gone once the takeover is complete.
