Hasn't it always been like that? Unsure why it's suddenly run it's course?

I genuinely don't dislike anyone on here. I disagree and have debates with people but it's just opinions on a forum. I'd happily have a coffee with absolutely anyone on here and the disagreements we've had wouldn't even enter my mind.

I think it's just cos the team's in a shit place at the moment with a dead man walking manager, and we're waiting for some cause for optimism and change. In a bit of a holding pattern.
Things will be fine on here. The atmos will pick up in a post takeover/new manager/Bramley Moore environment.

You're right, I just hope that things haven't gone to shit before those changes happen.Bluedylan1 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2024 3:03 pm I think it's just cos the team's in a shit place at the moment with a dead man walking manager, and we're waiting for some cause for optimism and change. Best not look too much into this stuff. I actually think they'll sell Roma at some point and go all in on us. The Prem's the main stage in club football if you want business success..... That's the hope
Re: End of Moshiri - Friedkin, IT'S HAPPENING!!
They may have not got it right on the pitch but they did get them to back to back European finals winning one of them.
We need much more help with off the field matters which I do believe they will sort out and we won't be anywhere nearly as badly run as we have been.
Obviously it's a slight concern some of the on field decisions they're currently making at Roma but I don't think that automatically means they will get it wrong here.
Managerial appointments can never really be judged until they are actually through the door and get going.
The bar is so ridiculously low with Dyche that it will take one of hell of a bad decision to get it wrong after him.

I just laugh at tweets like that. Nobody is a worse football club owner than Farhad Moshiri. Even if the Friedkins have their flaws, they'll be an improvement on Moshiri.

Koeman, Allardyce, Benitez & Lampard all say hiCozzie wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2024 8:53 pm They may have not got it right on the pitch but they did get them to back to back European finals winning one of them.

Re: End of Moshiri - Friedkin, IT'S HAPPENING!!
To be fair it does state that no 'top' club is run worse, after Moshiri I think we fall outside of that criteria
Re: End of Moshiri - Friedkin, IT'S HAPPENING!!
Tbf although Roma are a top club, in the current scheme of football then they're a lower tier one. We're not talking Barcelona here. I know they're lower but If Roma were 6th in Serie A then it wouldn't be a surprise or seen as massively underachieving and I don't think you could say that about many 'top' clubs
I don't think the way Friedkin's dealings with Roma managers had been anything but terrible and I have my reservations about them because of it.
The tweet is hyperbole though. It says they backed De Rossi through spending £76m on 10 players when that isn't even a significant amount these days and from what I can see, about £65m of that was on 3 players and 2 of those are under the age of 24 whilst the other is Dovbyk who smashed in the goals for Girona all season. It's not like these players were dependent on or only work with De Rossi in charge.
Lampard is never getting the Roma job either.
It's all being overblown because hysteria sells.

As.much as I hate myself for stating this.

Kenwright = fuck all

Think moshiri was better than kenwright. Think he tried but ultimately was everyone's mug and so will leave with nothing
Kenwright was a self serving rat. Invested fuck all. Clung to power at the cost of a new stadium, competent ownership, financial competence. Looking back on his time he was happy to ruin the club if it kept him in charge.
