New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
E.g. Dortmund's stand is Europe's largest single tier stand - is this single tier or not? Is it sold as a single tier or lower and upper? Was this always the plan?
Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
The homestand will be the South Stand and will consist of a single steep tier of seats that will accommodate 13,000 Everton FC fans on matchdays. The design of both the North and South stand lower tiers will make it easy to adopt rail seating and, should legislation change in the future, they could also be converted into areas for safe standing.
That’s from the meis website.
Then on the Everton stadium site they mention how it’s divided so people in the upper can sit down and not have their view obstructed, and it says there are upper and lower vomitories.
It’s basically a blag single tier and we’re hoping the fans make it look like a single tier.
Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
Sounds like to be fair that was always the plan going off that tho. Still 13k lower?
Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
Not sure how it could increase capacity as there are still seats but with an opportunity to convert on match days I think ? Also even if standing rails they would have to be numbered , question would be if you have 13,000 people and say 11,000 of them are season ticket holders when do you do a conversion from seating to standing if say several thousand ST holders don’t want to convert ?brap2 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 20, 2024 12:17 pm Wouldn't safe standing increase the capacity?
I've had a look at Dan Meis stuff, and on between liking porn bots and taking shots at the club for bin bagging him, there is lots of talk of a blue wave, a bluenami, but he doesn't seem to say Single Tier or Single Stand at any point.
Maybe I am just completely mistaken ultimately.

Missed the South stand discussion yesterday, I posted some pics on it the last time this came up:

Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
So we could have had the one, big steep stand but chose not to so we could incorporate safe standing in the future?Trowel wrote: ↑Wed Nov 20, 2024 12:43 pm Missed the South stand discussion yesterday, I posted some pics on it the last time this came up:

Am I right?
Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
That's my understanding too. And of course there's no guarantee that safe standing legislation will ever be passed.
Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
(I'd imagine it's highly likely however, especially if something like the new Old Trafford incorporates it in the planning)

Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
The shite already have Safe Standing areas in The Kop and the new Anfield Road Stands, all signed off by SGSA and Liverpool City Council and everything. Anybody with a ticket in these areas does have to agree to a code of conduct, but they definitely do have proper Safe Standing in place, so it would have to be assumed that it is very much a strong possibility that Safe Standing areas at Bramley More could be introduced relatively quickly.
Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
There are a few grounds that have safe standing as a per season licence, on a one-to-one seat/spectator basis, which we'll have from the start in those areas. New legislation would do away with the need for seats, which allows for something like 1.6 people per space, and would allow the mooted capacity increase in the South Stand. I think that's the bit that's some way away.74Blue wrote: ↑Wed Nov 20, 2024 6:20 pm The shite already have Safe Standing areas in The Kop and the new Anfield Road Stands, all signed off by SGSA and Liverpool City Council and everything. Just noticed this - prominent EFC branding on the new renders for the North AND South stand glass:
