Iliman Ndiaye
Re: Iliman Ndiaye
I can see it coming. Few more blanks and questions will be asked imo.
Personally I love him, one of the few worth watching. But he is being reduced to just a shuttle runner imo.

Re: Iliman Ndiaye
So it's actually just a criticism of Dyche then?
Oh, I'm on board with that.
You can just say that, dude. No need to go around the houses.

Re: Iliman Ndiaye
So the question you're asking is totally different to what you originally said? Ok cool.
Re: Iliman Ndiaye
All discussions on players form should include an understanding of what the manager wants and expects from him on the pitch surely.
Is he contributing enough? For me...no.

Re: Iliman Ndiaye
I mean we could all see where you were going with this, I don't know why you're trying to conceal what you were actually saying
Have you thought about us maybe trying him on the number 10 role at all?
Re: Iliman Ndiaye
Sadly had to disregard this idea, as he doesn't have prem experience in this role.

Re: Iliman Ndiaye
Getting flogged and fouled every week by being played out of position by a coach who can’t see his proper position or attributes just move the ball up the pitch try and get a corner or free kick

According to this his best performances have been wider. There’s no mention of him playing as a 10. Does anyone know if he’s played there before? I’m all for a manager experimenting with formations and positions but there’s no data to say he’ll definitely be good there. It’s not like we bought a player who plays firmly as a 10 and is being wasted on the wing. The rest of them can’t pass lads, get over it

Re: Iliman Ndiaye
Dyche says his best position is on the left no evidence to suggest he can play as a 10 only the season he played there for Sheffield united but sure that was ages ago
Re: Iliman Ndiaye
I can't find any info on 22/23 but in 21/22 for Sheffield UTD in the championship he played a mix of RW, AM, LW and CF... Yes a lot at AM but plenty as a CF too and we wouldn't surely want to play him there ourselves?Kerryblueboy wrote: ↑Thu Nov 21, 2024 2:08 pm Dyche says his best position is on the left no evidence to suggest he can play as a 10 only the season he played there for Sheffield united but sure that was ages ago
Looking at his time in France it was mainly out wide with some time as a CF or SS mixed in but not a lot.
I don't know where this notion comes from that he's played the number 10 role loads and it's his strongest position despite actually playing mainly out wide his whole career that I can find info on, and some AM in a lower league.
So unless you're getting your info from somewhere I can't find I'm going to say you're basically just saying stuff you think is true without bothering to fact check it.
He's versatile and can play multiple positions, but there's been nothing to suggest he's a premier league standard number 10 and we just happen to be playing him out of position.
Re: Iliman Ndiaye
He played ten games number ten in that season.Kerryblueboy wrote: ↑Thu Nov 21, 2024 2:08 pm Dyche says his best position is on the left no evidence to suggest he can play as a 10 only the season he played there for Sheffield united but sure that was ages ago
Re: Iliman Ndiaye
21/22 - Sheffield UTD (Championship)
AM - 18 games
CF - 6 games
LW / RW - 2 games
So he played just over 50% of his games at AM in the championship that season... Can't believe Dyche hasn't taken such a large body of evidence and worked out that a guy who was deemed only good enough in the Championship as a number 10 to play around 50% of his games there is 100% a nailed on superstar in the Premier League in that position.
Honestly people just make stuff up and then say it as fact to suit their viewpoint
Look he MIGHT be good there... MIGHT be, no one knows, he also MIGHT not be, there's not much to suggest he would be, it's not impossible but also it's not the guarantee some seem to think and claim.

Re: Iliman Ndiaye
Considering he played 'Centre-Forward' in a 442 with almost always either Billy Sharp or Oli McBurnie in those 34 appearances then I think it's safe to say he played number 10 for Sheffield United
Transfermarkt Ndiaye positions by appearanes for Sheffield United:
Centre-Forward 34
Attacking Midfield 30
Second Striker 13
Right Winger 1
Left Winger 1
