Not sure but this short extract from a very lengthy document from Colin Chong a few years ago hints at a significant increase.

Therefore it is clear that the capacity of 52,000 with a fairly low level (4,000) of premium seats requires a significant increase in the price of season tickets across the board including concessions, and a significant increase in walk up ticket prices in order to generate reasonable cash levels over and above the debt service levels and the current revenues generated by Goodison Park.

And that was written when the cost was still estimated to be £500m

Maybe it’s my own misunderstanding of what come out of the club and from Meis but it’s different to what I thought we were getting .

I’m sure it’ll still be great, but not quite the blue wall we were promised.

Will wait for the video to come out to get more information.

Suppose my worry is the upper tier sit down whilst the lower stands, as it seems to have been designed to incorporate sitting down more than I thought.

All the has been this is the stand where people will stand for 90 minutes and generate the atmosphere. If that isn’t for you then go sit somewhere else.

If the whole stand isn’t as one like we see at dortmund and the kop then it will take a lot away from it.

Would have much preferred the massive grandstand in the original designs.

Hopefully once it's full it'll just look like one continuous stand, if that's the case I don't think it'd take anything away from it, but as I said I'll not be in there like some on here so probably is more important to those who plan on being there. Fingers crossed it's as good as and looks just like a single tier.

Christ that sounds expensive. Think they'll hit the general sale tickets harder than they will season tickets. At least initially.

There’s a golden rule in the restaurant trade, if you are constantly fully booked, don’t increase capacity, increase your prices, this will decrease your overbooking situation and increase your profitability.

TO be fair to @TheRam , the pictures published in comparison absolutely do NOT show any access/split in the South stand

Shogun wrote: Thu Nov 21, 2024 8:58 am Be interesting to see how the waiting list goes, feel like it only grew so much because people were hanging onto their season tickets just to get into the new stadium. Will we have 8k or more on the waiting list in 5 years? Not sure.
It's more or less inevitable that there will be an increase in Season ticket prices as we move into the new stadium. The size of those price rises will have a big impact on whether existing Season Ticket holders renew and how many off the 20k waiting lost take up any offer of a season ticket. So you are quite right to suggest we see how it goes.

In terms of capacity, demand keeps prices buoyant. If getting a ticket is easy, then nobody is going to pay top dollar for tickets. There's a whole load more hospitality on offer at the new stadium. Hospitality is where the real profit lies for the club. The average Joe paying £40/50/60 for a ticket might buy a couple of overpriced pints of beer and a pie, so not a massive margin to be made. A lot of the hospitality seats are going to be guests.of corporate sponsors, companies trying to impress clients etc, so they aren't going to baulk at the big mark ups on the bevvies and will sit there drinking for a couple of hours after the game too, rather than straight out the door and into a pub where the ale is a bit cheaper.

Like it or not, it's a business and the sole purpose of a business is to make money.

And that's because it's only there to highlight the gradient of the stand, have a look at those comparators against every other stadium, including Goodison, no detail, just the gradient. Look at the Spurs one in the pic you used, no break, yet there is one

Whilst that is a fair assessment, it definitely doesn't disprove the point.
It's basically a coms slash PR error is all. But i'm on the side of the "it was definitely sold as something to compare to Dortmunds Yellow wall.
(the typical view from the North stand makes it look very clearly like two utterly different stands - if you zoom in it doesn't even look like you can get from the upper to the lower)

To be honest, i am pretty underwhelmed about the inside.
I am sure the gradients will all be as they say. But it just looks so generic at the moment.

It may be as simple as all of the seats being blue? Like, i want some white ones to spell out our name or crest or something?

Yeah, just isn’t what we thought we were getting at all that.

It’s two tier and will be sold as such.

I think it's technically a single split-tier.

Wait until they’ve finished the interiors before judging it, it’s still a construction site more or less.

Leaving the south stand until the end just to keep Ram further on edge.

"Home to many of the stadium’s Bars, Restaurants and Experiences, it also provides Season Ticket seating above the family section to the north and adjacent to the atmospheric blue wall to the south."

@TheRam

It's been name dropped! The blue wall it very much is!
