Needs to get out doesn't he. If I was him this morning I'd be phoning my agent to see about a move in January.
If you're not getting on to give a 39 year old a bit of a rest in a run of three games in six days when we're 4-0 up you're never getting on. The only time he gets on is when Young gets booked. Just getting back to fitness and needing minutes and watching a young midfielder get some time on the pitch. I still think the head slap was a mountain out of a mole hill but there's definitely something going on with him and Dyche. I wouldn't be surprised if Armstrong coming on was Dyche sticking two fingers up at him.
I don't think he'll play him unless he has no other option.
I do think he has his weaknesses but at this point it has to be more than that or we'd at least see him getting some minutes here and there just to keep young ticking over.
He did come on against Man U. I was also expecting a few mins against Wolves and give Young the standing ovation he deserved though. Maybe like the rest of us Dyche had the Bournemouth game in the back of his head so didn’t want to change the back line. Bit of a weird one though. Unless he starts tomorrow and bags the winner

Came on against Man Utd 5 minutes after Young got booked which says it all really. Would rather chuck Patterson on when we're getting pumped than risk Young getting another booking when the game is already gone than have to start Patterson in the next game.
Personally I think he needs to go out on loan in Jan or move on from Everton for the sake of his development. I know injuries haven’t helped but I just think being in a different environment will do him a lot of good and revive his career, whether that’s in the Championship or even Serie A where quite a few Scottish players have done well recently.
