Its not beyond the realms of possibility that TFG start pulling the strings early, I just doubt it'll happen with the derby 2 and a half days later to prep for.
Dyche - HE'S GONE
Re: Dyche
Friedkin wouldn’t be so reckless as to try to circumvent the Premier League, he still awaits the approval of the PL and needs to pass the fit and proper test, nothing more certain to piss the PL off and cause them to drag their feet on approval than showing contempt/arrogance by assuming it’s a done deal.

I'm gonna go out on one here and say I really hope we win tonight and he walks away (gets sacked) straight after

I don’t share that optimism but more than happy to be both wrong and pleasantly surprised when we get a new manager

Sexy samba football, give that man a new deal!
At least we’ve spent all week practicing set pieces

Re: Dyche
Got to wonder where that type of performance has been against other poor teams, felt like that's the first time we've seen the Everton of last season since probably the Bournemouth game.
Unfortunately it's come as we head in to 4 games where any momentum we could have built will ultimately disappear within about 10 mins of the next one.

Re: Dyche
From the BBC article on Arsenal's set piece goals:
- Everton (50%) have the highest ratio of set-piece goals as a proportion of all goals in that same period (27/54)
- For the ultimate comparison, Stoke's Premier League ratio under former manager Tony Pulis was 43.1% - 81 set-piece goals from a total of 188 goals.

Re: Dyche
Early goal helps. We've started plenty of games well but petered out when a goal hasn't come.

Which suggests we're set up ok, have chances, but are just too relaxed and casual, not clinical, fail to take advantage of good starts, and our morale drops.
We look like we actually have more desire once we concede, but we're more running on fear, rather than trying to take the initiative in the first place.
It's such a strange thing to watch most weeks.
