The issue is he’s living rent free in the heads of some Evertonians, and that seems to bother some more than others on this forum.
Personally, I blame International week - thats the root cause - absence of Everton-related footy for a week getting on everyone’s nerves.

Not sure anyone is against him. The issue for me isn't really that he's using the facilities. It's the ongoing nonsense about his availability. On grass off grass about to play a behind closed doors game. Injured again. Honestly I don't actually believe any of it

I always supported the club looking after him, it always seemed like the right thing to do. He's unfortunately never going to play here though, any small glimmer of hope faded ages ago.

If he goes to Como I hope they continue the excellent work Everton has done with his mental and physical health, and that he manages to play some footy and hopefully enjoy doing so.

You can still work in Europe providing you apply for and are granted a work permit, it’s only the “freedom” of movement that has been cancelled. Not sure that the support given by the club was entirely altruistic, possibly played a long shot in the hope that whilst costing us nothing he might just come good and stay with us.
