New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
That area where the executive seating is going to be put in sure seems like it is going to waste a lot of available area for more seats.
Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
But the point is, Executive seating makes big bucks. You can charge top dollar for a seat that includes a bit of scran and a couple of bevvy. The food and ale cost the club next to fuck all, so it's pretty much all profit. The prawn sandwich brigade don't give a fuck about what's going on on the pitch, they're just there for a little jolly and they will pay for the privilege.
Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
They could make it a hell of a lot easier to cut the waiting list and make it easier to get a season ticket by simply increasing the price by 20%, guess the waiting list could be down to a reasonable 5 to 6 thousand in no time, club is more profitable, more people off the waiting list get season tickets, would you prefer that ?Shogun wrote: ↑Thu Dec 19, 2024 3:01 pm 3,000 new season tickets from an extra 12,000 seats seems poor to me. Considering the max you can have is 80% (*12,000 = 9,600) of a stadium then they've gone very low on it.
Given there are 30,000 people that have been on a waiting list, most of which paying for a membership for multiple years, then moving to a new stadium and only offering 3,000 more season tickets is a kick in the face.

Corporate and "experience" increases are taking up a larger than current percentage of that 12k as well.Shogun wrote: ↑Thu Dec 19, 2024 3:01 pm 3,000 new season tickets from an extra 12,000 seats seems poor to me. Away fan as a percentage digs into the 12k as well..
I definitely welcome more general sale tickets. If anything it lowers the long term demand of season tickets as well. (I wouldn't have a season ticket if I was confident I had a decent chance of getting a ticket to any game I fancied)
Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
The benefit of a ST though is that you have the seat you chose surrounded by the same people in my case with whom you get to know over the years.superpull wrote: ↑Thu Dec 19, 2024 3:43 pm Corporate and "experience" increases are taking up a larger than current percentage of that 12k as well.

Oh, there's more than one benefit. Being guaranteed a ticket to every game and it being cheaper overall is great - it's why I have one. It's why I'm also on the waiting list for my little lad.
I'm just not on board with the whole "I'm on the waiting list and this new stadium should cater to just my demographic" vibes.
Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
Oh, absolutely agree, it’s just that you said you wouldn’t want a season ticket if you could buy a ticket for every match, again, I just wouldn’t want to sit in a different seat every match.superpull wrote: ↑Thu Dec 19, 2024 6:10 pm Oh, there's more than one benefit. 3000 is so low. It's really disappointing. If they wanted so many general sale tickets then they should have gone for a higher capacity.
Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
That's not what's happening in this thread though. Feeling disappointing they've made just 25% of the expanded capacity dedicated to season ticket holders isn't quite the same as "I'm on the waiting list and all 12,000 tickets should therefore be new season ticket holders"
Hate the way everything is about money now.
Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
The 3k seems low only because Goodison is so over subscribed on season tickets.
I think we have 32k season tickets which is ridiculous for a 38k capacity.
35k season tickets in a 52k stadium is perfectly fine.
For context, anfield have 27k season tickets.
People who are on the waiting list now have a much better chance to go the game now there’s a lot more general sale tickets available so I don’t see the issue?
The problem is with the amount of season tickets at Goodison, not Bramley moore.

It's not about money - it's about making sure the people who can't afford the guts of a grand, or have commitments that means they can't get to every game, have a fair crack at being able to watch the team they support.Shogun wrote: ↑Thu Dec 19, 2024 10:22 pm That's not what's happening in this thread though. Yeah @Escalator , I actually don't mind different seats. Each to their own obviously, but I don't really care. I have a season ticket specifically because it's too much of a ball ache to get tickets without one.
It makes me go to more games than I normally would though - so I'm deffo part of the problem when it comes to season ticket back logs. More general sale tickets means more people like me give up their season tickets.
Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
Where's the 3000 number come from anyway?
It would seem strange that they were sending emails to members offering them the chance to join the Tier 1 waiting list if there's still 1000s of people on the waiting list.
