Wherever he goes, and it won’t be us, United are going to have to pick up at least 100/150k of that.

Re: January transfer window
I think Friedkin will have to tread carefully, the Roma ultras will be keeping their eyes on him, if he buys a mega star for us they will demand one, if he moves one of their best players from there to us they will lynch him.

Re: January transfer window
What if Roma buys our ‘star’ defender (Keane) for 30m. How will the utltras react to that

Re: January transfer window
With the way that miser Ratcliffe has been cutting everything to the bone, hard to see that happening
Re: January transfer window
Priority for me would be 2 fullbacks that would actually contribute going forward and some pacey winger.
I know we also desperately need a creative midfielder and a striker, but it would be great to have fullbacks that pose a threat

Re: January transfer window
I'd rather we signed a right winger with pace than a full back tbh. I absolutely hate he state of our full back situation but we can be solid with what we currently have, however we have no pace in the team and no one who's naturally comfortable on the right wing.
Just get a speed merchant there with even half an ounce of delivery and it'd transform out ability to hit teams on the break.
Probably wouldn't advocate signing anyone on a permanent deal though because we have no idea who the next manager will be and it's unlikely we have any actual ability to spend within PSR anyway, so cancel Harrison's loan and borrow some Chelsea or Man City kid who can't get a game in their teams instead.

Re: January transfer window
Absolutely frustrates me when anyone who added to this absolute mess gets praised. Not sure what you think I've said regarding Benitez though. Feel free to criticise him, he was fucking useless. He just didn't block 10s of millions in transfers while deciding to spend 2m on 3 players instead.Kerryblueboy wrote: ↑Fri Dec 20, 2024 5:16 pm Amazing how easily you get triggered all someone has to do is praise Carlo or brands or criticise Rafa and you are away sad really but also very funny

Re: January transfer window
We should be focused on a young attacking right winger who wants to carry the ball forward and is capable of solo runs.
It will work for Dyche as it will get us up the pitch and fits into the Dyche attacking plan of getting the ball up the pitch and hoping some individual brilliance gets a goal but also wouldn’t be wasted under a more progressive manager in future.
I fear who we would sign as a fullback as Dyche wants them to be defenders who tuck in narrow, not really in line with the modern definition of a fullback and might leave us with another Mykolenko who would be lost under a more progressive manager

No to Rashford, can't be signing players on the downward side of their careers anymore.
Will anyone be inclined to pay a fee for DCL given he'll be free in about twenty or so games.
