What I'd give for a signing in the mold of Gérard Duelofeu, a young, talented, pacey up and coming winger who gets bums off seats.

I absolutely hate he state of our full back situation but we can be solid with what we currently have, however we have no pace in the team and no one who's naturally comfortable on the right wing.

Just get a speed merchant there with even half an ounce of delivery and it'd transform out ability to hit teams on the break.

Probably wouldn't advocate signing anyone on a permanent deal though because we have no idea who the next manager will be and it's unlikely we have any actual ability to spend within PSR anyway, so cancel Harrison's loan and borrow some Chelsea or Man City kid who can't get a game in their teams instead.
I wonder what Walcott or Lennon are up to these days…

I wonder if we'll get nice new sparkly things for Christmas, now we have new owners?

Aside from GK and CB, a quality player in any position would improve us massively. You can’t sign a quality striker for less than 30m these days so I’d also rule that one out though. We might try again for the Marseille(?) RM but he didn’t want to come in summer so who knows. I’d love to upgrade on Mykolenko but I think there’s a dearth of good LB’s atm and sorting RB out would also be great. Just anyone good if possible pleas Kev

How many loan spots have we used/do we have available?

If we have 2-4 loans we can use in the window, makes sense to do that. Don’t saddle the club with wages or players beyond the end of the season, but do enough to ensure we’re not relegated.

That gives a good few months planning for next season and our moves in the summer. Makes a lot more sense to me.

We can loan as many from abroad as we like I think - but just 2 from the EPL which we already have in Broja and Harrison

Wouldn’t be adverse to sending Jack home and upgrading that position though

Harrison is Championship so doesn't count (or is EFL included in that)?

Yeah the loan market is the way to go can’t be making the same mistakes again if dyche isn’t staying long term

I disagree on this, but on the proviso Thelwell is leading both player and manager recruitment.
Given the amount of players we have out of contact I think we need to be signing a few permanent transfers in January as well need to work within accounting years (I'm assuming these are FY?), no way we can spend stupid amounts on the summer to counteract the streams of players leaving

Ranieri has now hinted that may be on the cards with Everton and Roma, admitting he’ll be looking at the Toffees in a different light moving forwards.

“As for Everton, I think it’s a consequence. We haven’t actually talked about it, but now I’ll look at Everton with different eyes obviously,” he answered when asked about a ‘synergy’.

“We look at everyone, we will try to bring players from Rome to Rome, but it won’t be easy. It’s already difficult in the summer, in the winter market it will be even more complicated.

“Let’s go and look for those guys who can give us a hand and who can be the future of Rome. We will try to do the best for Rome, to ensure that it gets back on track and gets as close as possible to high levels.”

When we're in a bit of a better position, I think both clubs can do really well from loan deals between us
