Probably complete bullshit most of these rumours, but I'm taking a lot of encouragement that we are linked with centre midfielders. Honestly believe that is a lot of our problem and until we improve the balance we're not going anywhere.
We need a much more all rounded players, and players that are comfortable on the ball.
Gueye is exceptional at what he does, in part, but he's asked to do far too much in the team and the stuff he does do really well is then diluted. I don't need to express how poor I think Doucoure is again, and improving on him must be one of the easiest tasks a DoF will ever get.

Everton are lining up a potential move to sign West Brom sensation Tom Fellows in the January transfer window, sources have told Football Insider.

Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed the 21-year-old has been on “Everton’s radar for a while now” with the Merseyside giants looking to lure him to Goodison Park.

The right-midfielder is seen as a player who has huge potential moving forward due to his performances at the Hawthorns.

Fellows is under contract with the Championship side until 2027 and has featured in every single league game this season, scoring once and providing 10 assists.

West Brom turned down a bid from Southampton in the summer transfer window of around £10million, meaning any potential deal is expected to cost more than that.

Well-placed sources have informed Football Insider that Everton will need to pay at least £15million potentially rising to £20million.

The Pilhado Esportes journalist shared on YouTube on 3 January which was then translated by Olho No Lance presenter and Rubro News TV journalist-cum-founder Julio Miguel Neto, to his 54k followers on X that the Toffees are expected to make a bid in the region of £16.5million and £24.8million.

The 21-year-old plays as a right-back and the Toffees are understood to be keen on bringing in a full-back this month with the takeover by The Friedkin Group completed.

Neto wrote on X: “Everton are yet another English club showing interest in signing full-back Wesley.

“According to journalist Thiago Asmar, a source close to the athlete revealed that negotiations are advanced and are just waiting for the decision of Flamengo’s board. The new offer should be between 20 and 30 million euros.

Additionally, a fourth European club is also in the running, but its identity has yet to be revealed.”

Not sure we’re fully in the clear on PSR ? Read a couple of days ago that the result will be within the next few weeks but the club were confident that we were within the limits , who knows.

how much longer is James Garner out? we could save on spending midfielders if he's back soon or even right backs and concentrate on goalscorers. not saying the midfield or defence can be improved, but maybe priorities could change.

Also that Wesley - loves a slidey and the ball’s a bit bobbly round his feet, not sure how well he’ll translate to the PL - BUT - plenty of time to learn as he is only 21, not 41 as his photos suggest.

That'll always be the case until our income increases, but that doesn't mean we haven't got room to spend now and recover over time. If it's spent well it can make us money down the line.

The payday loans were eating away at our margin month on month as well, I'm sure some people said up ton£20m a month, which while obviously I don't know for sure, should be consolidated into something more manageable and efficient now.

Also may be we offer a small amount now for players with the larger payments starting in the summer. Small down payment would help keep us under PSR limits you'd imagine.
