Just seen a post on Facebook and it raised a good question.
If you could bring back a Moyes player in their prime, who would it be?
I think I'd go for Arteta

Re: David Moyes - Confirmed
Very tough but truth be told, Pienaar.
One of the most underrated geniuses I've ever seen.
His goal away at Arsenal took the piss.

Such class.Deano Blue Boy wrote: ↑Mon Jan 13, 2025 6:34 pm I think most teams in the world would love to have them
If they both had burning pace they would’ve been tearing it up at Real or Barca

In this current team would love Cahill arriving late in the box 10+ goals every season

Right now, Saha would be ideal

The Yak. There's something about a finisher who passes the ball into the net.

In this current team - Arteta for some creativity.
Overall got to be Baines though

Its too hard a question given Moyes had 2 or 3 players in every position better than the current team. You could upgrade every single player. The only current squad member who might make a Prime Moyes bench is Pickford.
But Baines.
But Baines.

His goal against Stoke away being one of my favorites.MayorFarnham wrote: ↑Mon Jan 13, 2025 8:05 pm The Yak. There's something about a finisher who passes the ball into the net.
Pure unadulterated finisher on his day.

There are simply too many to choose just one. However, I'm also going to cheat a little bit and say Seamus Coleman. I know he's still here, but oh to roll back the clock 10 years or so and have him in his prime. Sixty, yes sixty fucking grand!
The big thing about Moyes' Everton last time around was simply that the team was so much more than the sum of it's parts.
