The deal was that Chelsea would pay his wages in full until he was fit to play and Everton would pay once fit and able to play, we can send him back if we pay his wages untill the end of the loan period.

You have to hope that the budget is there for us to do that and then cover another loan to replace him.

Is it really unrelated from the achilles? If he's not out for months with that issue, he's probably not getting this other injury. Impossible to know though.

Say it was 100k (might be less ?) that would be about £1.9 million from today, try to negotiate and maybe pay a million to get rid.
