Why wouldn’t the loan deal allow that?

Maybe I’m asking too much for (seemingly) sensible clauses to be in our contracts.

Seems bizarre to me if this scenario isn’t accounted for. 🤷‍♂️

Of course there will be clauses, but as is the case with every contract both parties will be arguing their side before an agreement is reached.

Old news this isnt it? I imagine it will end up with us not paying it but taking another Chelsea player on loan.

Surely we should drop him off when all their players arrive for training, it'll take them 5 months to notice him there, they've so many

Just going to have to pay it. Imagine there's some back and forth going.

What they want more than anything is someone to pay some wages. They have something like 50% of their total wage bill sitting off pitch. They need to bring that down asap.

Which is why I think chilwell on a free with us picking up wages will be an option.

im sure the chilwell option is on the table, the issue is if another club will take him, meaning they dont need to deal with us on it, theyll only do what youre saying if theres no other better option

It would be harsh on Broja but somebody in the negotiations with Chelsea needs to be hinting at the fact that if Broja stays we might just need to rush him back from injury ahead of schedule.

It would be an awful shame if doing so led to long term injury complications and an associated drop in the value of their asset

Haha. I love that. Run the club like mafia bosses.

Maybe also suggest casually in the negotiations that we know where Broja's parents live, and it would be a terrible shame if there was an accident.

Speaking of which, does anyone play Underworld Football Manager?

I'm currently in the process of throwing a Molotov cocktail at my next opponent's training facility, before beating up a couple of players and bribing them with a widescreen TV (to get sent off) or a sports car (own goal)!

Particularly cathartic when Everton lose, so I've been on it a lot recently.

Hopefully Broja's parents aren't linked to the Albanian mafia otherwise we might inadvertently start a gang war.

To be fair, after all his injuries he definitely needs to be carefully managed and there’s no benefit for us focusing on the long term vs just getting whatever we can from him now

That's what I mean, Chelsea just need to admit defeat and take him back.
