I've always been thinking bringing some quality was essential this window, and I'm still on that side of things.

That said, Brighton kinda feels like a bit of a tiebreaker in terms of deciding where we are right now. We've had the Villa game, which was better but still not great...was early days though without much time for Moyes to work with them. We've had Spurs which was positive for large portions, but has a slight question mark due to how naive Spurs were in their setup and we know Spurs can give teams these sorts of goals...so Brighton will maybe show a bit better if we can still create and take chances against what will be a far better balanced team.

IF we can, then it's a bit more of a decision to be made.

Sunderland fans saying they'd want £20m. He is a bit of a baller but I'd rather us be going for Jobe Bellingham or Chris Rigg.

Since we had fellaini your wanted a perm. Papers were saying because we can’t cancel Broja we couldn’t loan another Chelski so were asking for a free transfer, maybe some kind of structured future payments who knows. Either way though I hope we stop with these wishful thinking type transfers, where you’re just hoping that the player is over their injury woes. Whatever you thought of Moyes last time, he spent the money as if it was his own, and were in just as bad a situation now as then, albeit different circumstances

The difference now is we've had no money to spend, anything for peanuts, free transfers, loans, injured/frail gambles etc etc.
We've almost been living off charity and beggars can't be choosers!
When we look back I think we'll see how important Dyche has been and that we owe him a lot (particularly in the less public areas of the club) despite how dire it could be to watch.

Some good stuff here.

They’re going for promotion, though

If we’re sticking with 3 atb then an attacking RB is what I’d go for 1st push Lindstrøm into the middle. I still have major doubts about Patterson, I thought he was all over the place when he came on against spurs and it’s telling that he was 2nd choice to Jesper. Even a fellow Scot doesn’t fancy him. He might improve though with less defensive responsibility.

Replace anyone sold after that.

The LB market is pretty poor currently. A few teams don’t play with a proper one anymore and players like Inshelwood for Brighton and Hall for Newcastle are getting a good go despite being very raw. There’s not a lot of top talent out there so we’d have major problems getting someone good. I even think we could rinse someone for Mykolenko in this market. Avoid until summer and even then we’ll struggle.

I think Garner can do a good job of controlling possession in the middle alongside Mangala but would like to target a DM otherwise. Again, summer.

Goal scoring RW has long been on the list but would have to be able to play less an orthodox role in this system. Maybe as a 10.

Just anyone good will do though.

Troy Parrott - wonder whether you could get him, was a hot prospect at spurs but didn’t break thru

He’s gone to alkmaar in Holland and has scored 10 in 19

22, 6’1, scored international goals for Ireland in a shite team

Hell probably go to a London club or closest to. Doubt his clubs being Chelsea, Arsenal and Fulham is a coincidence. Think he even turned down the shite and Man City to sign for Chelsea.
