January transfer window
Re: January transfer window
Yeah, feel like Garner is your Longstaff shaped midfielder and he's a few years younger. If we're going to bring another CM in then it's got to be someone who wants to receive the ball and can actually do something on the ball. `
Re: January transfer window
Old Davey saying PSR issues mean we won’t spend this window. Well, he said we aren’t able to bring in the players of the quality he’d like - then said there was essentially no money until the summer.

Wow. Someone really likes an argument or really likes Longstaff. I doubt his mum would even protest this hard if someone was calling him shit.

To be fair we've given him plenty of opportunities to hone that particular skill.

Re: January transfer window
He was actually very clever in what he said like some on here have said he said no point paying over the odds for the wrong player he said the psr issues are gone in the summer so nothing major until then
Re: January transfer window
I was vehemently against Longstaff in the past, seeing him function for a good team softened my opinion even though Guimaeres and Joelinton did most of the heavy lifting there.
People saying he doesn’t offer much beyond our current options are probably right. It might just be that we want another solid 6.5/10 DM for the squad right now with so much potential turnover in that area in the summer. Then we take a shot on a bigger talent this summer when we have more money to spend (theoretically).

Pissing in the wind if at some point we can’t start spaffing money on players. Big money.
Re: January transfer window
I think those 2 recent wins have given us a little bit of breathing room and allowed us to step back a bit and really think about what we are doing in this window.
